A few of us mentioned yesterday that we need "cap" for putting Hoecht on IR and adjusting the 53-man roster & new P/S signings.  

 

If we had restructured Josh for millions, then people should be questioning

Every time they do a PS call up it adds to the cap.  Someone goes to IR it adds cap to replace him. So they restructured.  Anything left can roll over.   They probably expected a trade but it never materialized.

If nothing else this does two things

 

Restructure a contract this year to help us front load someone else

Sign injury replacement players.

I was actually thinking TJ could be an offseason cap casualty, due to declining play and expensive pay. Guess not
