He could have just totally chased down Kermit and slammed him like Miss Piggy. Then all of a sudden stops and starts running back. Totally think he was dumbfounded by not being blocked whatsoever, and thought it was a ***** up and vacated. Yeah he looked lost on the play, maybe thinking screen and was looking to blow it up 19 hours ago, PepeSilvia said: An Andy dalton led Carolina panthers 40-9 resignates with you? oldmanfan Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago My understanding is there was confusion on the defensive set up which is why McD called the TO. And Mahomes then made a Mahomsean play that was helped by Bernard sloughing off coverage. Let’s imagine if he does not call the TO, guys are running around like it’s a Chinese fire drill, and they make the first down, or even score. People would be here beeyatching about not calling a TO. 1 Quote

I would personally never get mad at McDermott for not calling a timeout. Its time for him to switch it up and stop calling these 3rd or 4th down timeouts , as it seems like it burns them way more often than not. Quote
Big Turk Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I'm still wondering WTF Bernard was doing on the play...nobody should have been open but Bernard inexplicably drops his coverage and turns to help with a player being double teamed leaving Rice to run wide open thru the area he was in Quote
Goin Breakdown Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago They talked about the 4 and 17 play this morning on WGR. It was a designed to make it look like a quick pass screen was going in one direction, they left Bosa open on purpose to confuse him and he Bit on it thinking he left his man unblocked (or something along those lines. That gave them time to go deep. I don't get it all but smarter people said it was a great design by KC. Quote

Yeah, he should’ve kept running, would’ve disrupted the play at the very least. For those of us old enough to remember it was the same instinct that got Jeff White a tip on and Elway pass in the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP game . I believe it was Carlton Bailey who got the pick 6? Anyhow, I don’t gig Bosa for that at all. He thought he recognized a screen ( imo) and backed off. If McClappy had’t called the TO. It never would have happened. We had the previous plays receiver double covered. 1 Quote

I remember Lawrence Taylor saying when he wasn’t sure about something, whether it was his responsibility in the playcall or something else, he would just go 100 miles an hour to blow up whatever he could. Said if you’re going to make a mistake, play fast while you’re doing it, not tentatively. Bosa could’ve used that advice there. 1 Quote
