Nobody is finished product including Tom Brady who got better all the time even in his thirties

In Josh's bad days , he still is in control more than 80% of the league... He might go from the best quarterback in the world to the fifth best quarterback in the world 

 

Just the little game situations he can improve upon... But I also think at this point it's hard for Josh Allen to get up for every single game 

 

Brady went through stretches of the same thing... You know what woke Tom Brady up? Playing Peyton Manning

You’re right.

 

But you’re also talking to someone who thinks Allen should make the less than desirable WR room blossom because Tom Brady once won a SB with Chris Hogan (ignoring the greatest TE of all time, a top 10 slot receiver ever and the greatest HC of all time).

Josh’s problem is a combination of play calling, personnel and his own game being conditioned in a negative way. 
 

Josh has regressed in footwork and patience since about Week 3 where early signs began to show. How I see it is that Allen isn’t trusting his receivers to get open on their initial route. He was burned too much in the first few weeks and has only got more skeptical of his guys finding a hole. He has two starters he likes in Shakir and Kinkaid. Coleman fails to catch over the shoulder catches and it seems like far too often our guys are blanketed. Allen as such hesitates because he doesn’t trust his guy will get to the spot and/or bails out of the pocket hoping to create a broken coverage by brute force. He had to do that as a rookie when he lacked enough legitimate targets and again he’s using that playbook. 
 

Jackson Hawes has been a favorite extra target for him as he gets open often since he’s the blocking TE and gets broken coverages at a high frequency.

Allen has definitely been off this year, but I'm not concerned at all. I don't need him, or anyone else, peaking in October. I need him peaking in January and February.

Let them work out the kinks now, and if that means winning ugly, that's fine. Right now our offense is going through Cook, and it's outstanding that we have a team that can blow out the opposition when Josh goes 12/19 for 163 yards. There will be days it needs to go through Josh, but we aren't there yet.

Honestly, I'm more concerned that we don't have a capable back behind Cook. If he ever gets dinged up, Davis absolutely cannot carry the load. You expect to see a huge dropoff if your QB gets hurt, but Ideally we'd be less fragile at RB.

 forget stats. he made some sweet plays and was a more than willing blocker. Not all receivers are cool with getting beat up play after play blocking LBs etc. They aren't all built for that.

Josh needs a new BFF at WR. Still broken hearted from the Diggs thing ? 😋

I can’t take the posts seriously who completely absolve Allen from some responsibility.  Josh is definitely not seeing the field like he used to or throwing accurately like you’d expect from an MVP.  Of course the WRs other than Shakir are not separating.  i haven’t seen the film, maybe they are NFL open some of the time.  But Allen can always use his legs to cause problems for the D and he’s not doing that at all.

This! Mack was dependable,energetic and had great awareness. I wanted him to stay but the Pats needed him.
