I think that his mind is soft much more than his body.

Just out of curiosity- Do you call every athlete who doesn't play because of a pulled hamstring, soft, or just Lamar Jackson? genuinely curious.

Like is George Kittle soft to you because he's on IR with a hamstring injury?

Little has played thru pain. Jackson doesn't.

When you're a talent that Lamar is supposed to be, a top 3 NFL player with a team that is supposed to be on your back you don't quit and don't let a boo boo hurt you.

How do you know Lamar Jackson

has never played through pain?🤦‍♂️

December 2019- Limited in practice all week with a quad and played on a short week

October 2020- Missed back to back practices with a knee and illness and played

Nov 2021- Missed multiple practices with flu but played

Late October/November 2024- Missed practices early in the week and played in all games.

I really don't know why your agenda is that "Lamar is soft" and that he quit on the team last week, when he clearly has a pulled hamstring that keeps most NfL players out 2-4 weeks

It’s pretty wild that they were the favorites coming into the season.  Two years ago, they had their best team ever and still couldn’t get out of the AFC.  Not sure why anybody would put their money on them do get it done this season when they had the lowest odds…total sucker bet.

To play devils advocate…

Lamar plays in a much harder division. The Bills are basically gifted 4 easy wins every season.

I think the Bills broke them week one

I'm not sure that the Bills "broke them", but they certainly exposed them:

  • their defense isn't as good as it had been, especially their pass defense, and that was before all the injuries;
  • their offense isn't all that potent if a team can force them out of their run game;  and
  • Harbaugh's play calling under pressure is suspect.

That's a testament to how bad the Texans' offense is.   Stroud has sucked behind the Texans' terrible OL.

You know what?  Eff ‘em.  The Ravens are another entitled fan base who were handed a team who almost immediately became a Super Bowl contender and has won two trophies.  They’ve never “suffered” and one can argue they’ve actually underperformed even when healthy.

Of the AFC teams I dislike outside the division, the Ravens are at the top of the list (yes, even above KC).

That's not true.  The Ravens fans lost their original team, the Colts, when Robert Irsay, Sr moved the team to Indianapolis in 1983.   IIRC, the move was rather stealthy:  it wasn't publicly announced beforehand, and the moving vans rolled up, packed up the offices and equipment overnight or something like that.  The Ravens didn't move to Baltimore until 1996 (after Art Modell screwed over the Cleveland fanbase), but that wasn't the fans' doing, it was the greedy owners'.

Oh, I know the history, but Colts fans didn’t become Ravens fans.  That fan base sucks and they’re obnoxious as hell.

I really don't have any more or less proof than you do on the issue.

So, here we are at an impass.

I said 4 easy wins. Usually the AFCE will give the Bills a competitive game or 2 based on the fact that they are a divisional opponent and their defenses were built in mind to stop the Bills.

Ok- But you're calling him out for being soft when you got no proof. He's got a hamstring injury that keeps nfl players out every single week.  I'm just confused to why you're specifically picking on Lamar in this case.  But anyways all good. Enjoy the weekend and go Bills.

You have no proof to say he's not being soft.

I will call out a lot of players but those who make the most noise like Lamar get noticed the most.

Remember the season he sat out and Huntley took over? Jackson wasn't seriously hurt then, either.

He is a me first player that will be a footnote of the league history just like Cam Newton and Doug Flutie.

That's possible for sure. Its hard for me to imagine someone being in top .0001 percent making millions could be soft. You don't get there if you are soft

You're making an another outrageous claim. "Jackson wasn't hurt either". Lol based on what? Show me any credible source that he was faking an injury..

So I need proof to show that nfl players are not soft? Playing in one of the most violent games in the world for over 2 decades of their lives isn't proof of that? This is bizarre .

Lets start calling nhl and rugby players soft now while we are at it

I tried to search for it briefly before I took my shower but nothing relevant came up because there's been so many recent articles about his supposed injury. Anyone who was around back when his original injury occurred with the Tyler Huntley replacing him episode may remember that there was speculation he wasn't really injured and was milking it until he got a new contract. Anyone who is blind to this might not realize the type of me first player he

And your best sterilizations to call NHL and record player soft is invalid. There are some soft NHL and rugby players. I know one guy who is a rugby player that plays the national team, he is most definitely not soft. I know another guy who got pretty high up there in rugby who was soft. It all depends on the individual. You nor I have exact proof to say who Lamar Jackson may or may not be when it comes to his faking or not faking of injury

It really isn't that difficult to understand we both have a difference of opinions, stop white knighting for some dude you don't know and you act like a diva. I don't think he's interested in you.

It was hard to search, but here's one: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10061112-lamar-jackson-hasnt-felt-right-after-testing-knee-injury-before-ravens-vs-bengals

Here is another one: https://www.thebanner.com/sports/ravens-nfl/lamar-jackson-knee-injury-C6MP2ZEBKVCH5MSAOOU5UPTHD4/

The subtext here was Lamar's contentious contract negotiations with the Ravens. It was clear at the time that he didn't want to play on an injured PCL because there was a very real chance of further injury that would have cost him millions. I remember at the time that the real scandal wasn't that he didn't play. It was that he didn't fly with the team to the game to support them. Which in and of itself wasn't a big deal, but it is clear from the second article that I linked above that there was a disconnect between Lamar and the Ravens at that time that played a big role in public perception of his actions and statements.

I could care less about Lamar Jackson. I just find it absolutely hilarious when keyboard warriors who have never even sniffed playing professional football, call football players "soft" based on no logical reason or evidence.  Just not a good look bud.

After Burrow's injury I'd say the divisions are about equal this year.

Steelers = Patriots

Bengals < Dolphins

Browns > Jets

That's how I'd stack it.

We should be big Steelers fans the rest of the season. They have no chance at the #1 seed but they have a real chance of keeping Baltimore out of the playoffs entirely. If they can beat Baltimore once they just need to go 7-5 in the rest of their games to end 11-6 and that is probably enough to take the division.

I never played professional football but so what? How would you know what I have or haven't done to what level? Opportunities like that are up to skill that is mostly God given. Not all of us are gifted with that.
