I think there always has been hasn't there? They make a motion with their hands as if they are calling for the ball.

something like that, it was discussed yesterday on WGR but I forgot the exact comments.  Basically on shorter FG's   the defense is being given the greenlight to GO even if it means Offside/leaping penalty ends up being called

They change the timing.  All it means is that the kicker is ready.  Holder usually gets green light from kicker, then looks at snapper and taps the ground with right hand.

I mean makes sense as long as it wouldn't give them a first down...but in a key situation like end of game or end of half with no time left, that really isn't a concern.
