The forgotten game that year was the 3rd preseason game that year against the rams. The greatest show on turf played the bills and both teams played starters late into the 3rd quarter. The game was a shootout with the bills stopping the rams on the last possession of the game with a strip sack

 

I’ve never seen a sold out preseason game like that and it was so loud. It was also Takeo Spikes and Sam Adams coming out party

That team was great on paper. So many good players.

My rule then - changed somewhat now due to 17 - is that I tried to tell myself not to get excited about the team until they had 5 wins - and then see where we were at in the season.  Usually was pretty good at keeping my emotions in check.  But that 31-0 drubbing was FUN.

I might be wrong but I think this was the year all the pass catchers left.  Price, Centers, and Reimersma were all gone.  We lost a lot of 13 to 10 type games.

Maine-iac you are spot on per usual! Donahoe got a first from Atlanta for Price that offseason sparking Jim Brinson to go on the air and dub him “THE SHREWD DUDE.”

We were at Smoky Bones BBQ Restaurant & Bar in Warwick Rhode Island pending a move there.

Place was packed! I was the only Bills fan in the place & the silence was deafening. Quietest win I've ever had to watch in my life, by far! 

Man... what a beat down!
