I’ve spent much of the afternoon looking at adding some time before the Bills opener and going to Watkins Glen. My wife loves mountain/gorge settings and waterfalls. She saw about a 30 second video of the falls, and she changed our flights already. She really likes that stuff. I’m open to suggestions for where to stay for a night in Watkins Glen if you/anyone know the area. . Edited Monday at 11:01 PM by Augie Quote

I was there for a Cup series race and Marcell Dareus was the Grand Marshall walking around with that sailor hat. Quote

Is there a Mongolian Buffet near there? 1 Quote

Be careful not to try and stay there the week of NASCAR Watkins Glen St Park is where the gorge is and waterfalls, if your up to hiking it ya can do that... https://parks.ny.gov/parks/142/ m 1 1 Quote

Rigotz Posted yesterday at 01:36 AM Posted yesterday at 01:36 AM Cordy Glenn was never that good at pulling... but he and Sammy Watkins were on the Bills at the same time. They should have installed a WR screen with LT sprinting out wide to block. Boom. Watkins Glenn. 1 1 Quote

I didn't see it on the WG track site, at one time you could do 3 laps on the track in your own car. I did it with my MX5, it was a blast 1 Quote

Like Historic Racing Event etc. Vintage Racing from my visits years ago 65 mph speed limit 😋 and no passing. Get behind a line of Porsches though and the track opens up a bit lol Station wagons and mini vans welcome. Great place indeed The Gorge is really the jewel though for most folks ! Quote

It’s funny, my wife is excited for the Bills opener and everything else we have planned, but when she saw video of the Gorge she got super excited. She’s a mountain girl at heart and we try to go to the NC mountains for her birthday each year. This is perfect for her! 1 1 Quote

But everything I remember and hear is that it is stunning. Maybe we can make this an annual adventure before the Bills opener each year, go explore the area. We are going to Niagara on the Lake also, and I’ve never been there either. I left WNY for college when I was 17 and didn’t see all of what there was to offer. . Edited 6 hours ago by Augie 1 Quote

Sweet and yea Watkins glen is beautiful Honestly all of upstate New York has so much to offer in terms of scenic spots can't go wrong with Watkins Glen But if you're ever up here with your wife and you have a couple days.. I would definitely check out Letchworth because it sounds like it's right up your wife's alley she would be in heaven 1 1 Quote
