I don’t necessarily disagree that Trump goes overboard with his statements.  Could he have chosen better verbiage, sure, probably. 
 

That said “no longer operational” sounds far more along the lines of destroyed/obliterated than whatever tf leaked misleading nonsense the Trump Admin had to push back at CNN/NYT over. 
 

We’re not talking some run of the mill oil rig here.. it’s a nuclear facility.  No longer operational means heavy damage that will take time to rebuild and in doing so, would clearly be known to intelligence agencies. 
 

That very likely means, for the time being, even if Iran moved some enriched uranium out, they can’t do anything with it without the world having plenty of advance notice.   Notice, that as long as someone like Trump is President, would result is repeated destruction of any new and/or rebuilt facilities. 
 

So while Trump can be very exaggerated in his comments, he comes across far closer to what actually happened here than what the Administration had to push back against the past few days.  
 

I don’t blame them one bit for taking on that misleading reporting as fiery as they did.
