Big Blitz Posted June 12 Posted June 12 (edited) Deep blue ***t hole and liberals summarized: The survey, conducted by Public Policy Pollingfor Democrat Justin Brannan’s city comptroller campaign, found Mamdani beating Cuomo 35 percent to 31 percent — a difference that is narrowly within the 4.1 percent margin of error. Mamdani, a member of the state Assembly, has leveraged social media to gain attention in the crowded race, employing slickly produced videos highlighting his platform — like free bus service or government-run grocery stores. His voters don’t seem to mind that he hasn’t articulated a robust, realistic plan to pay for those programs. https://www.politico.com/news/2025/06/11/zohran-mamdani-climbs-to-top-of-poll-leading-andrew-cuomo-00401594 With other people’s money duh…. Cant wait for the 2030 census? My God by 2040 NY will be worth fewer electoral votes then North Carolina. Edited June 12 by Big Blitz 1
Orlando Buffalo Posted Saturday at 11:17 AM Posted Saturday at 11:17 AM I am curious how old this tweet is and how much he has tried to change his image but this tweet should disqualify him unless he completely denouncing it. The sentiment here is anti American and economically illiterate
Big Blitz Posted Monday at 05:32 PM Author Posted Monday at 05:32 PM “Unfortunately, Mr. Mamdani is running on an agenda uniquely unsuited to the city’s challenges. He is a democratic socialist who too often ignores the unavoidable trade-offs of governance. He favors rent freezes that could restrict housing supply and make it harder for younger New Yorkers and new arrivals to afford housing. He wants the government to operate grocery stores, as if customer service and retail sales were strengths of the public sector. He minimizes the importance of policing." "Most worrisome, he shows little concern about the disorder of the past decade, even though its costs have fallen hardest on the city’s working-class and poor residents. Mr. Mamdani, who has called Mr. de Blasio the best New York mayor of his lifetime, offers an agenda that remains alluring among elite progressives but has proved damaging to city life." "Mr. Mamdani would also bring less relevant experience than perhaps any mayor in New York history. He has never run a government department or private organization of any size. As a state legislator, he has struggled to execute his own agenda." "...We do not believe that Mr. Mamdani deserves a spot on New Yorkers’ ballots."

US Egg Posted Monday at 07:38 PM Posted Monday at 07:38 PM My Trump loathing diehard LW kid who loved NYC, moved there in 2007, is holding out hope for Cuomo and that he can do something "Guilianiesque". Last I was there was 2019, it was great. He moved to Paris right after that, came back in 2023. He said it surprised him how bad it was and that I wouldn't enjoy it there, don't bother visiting. Best thing that has happened there since he moved back was a Wegmans in Manhattan. It's sad 1
The Frankish Reich Posted Monday at 07:39 PM Posted Monday at 07:39 PM If I lived in NYC I’d hold my nose and put Cuomo first.

Would stay a week in Manhattan each time. It was fine, and in Brooklyn where my kid lived, everytime. Would take the subway back and forth, never a problem. Worse thing was rats would run in an out of the walls in the subway station by him at night, they were kind of cute. There was no decline of any kind during the 12 years I went there, had lots of fun, never felt uncomfortable. Covid began the downfall and what happened after I wouldn't put on the Mayor as so many want to.

Great choice after what he did as GOv. & sent all of those elderly people infected with covid back into their respective nursing homes only to infect hose that didn't have th virus to infect them and no telling how many died because of that great decision !!! All while telling us all just how horrible a person the the now POTUS was and how bad he himself handled the covid deal . Talk about trying to deflect fault onto some one other than your self !! His dad may have been decent but he's proved just how big a POS he is and he only got fired from his job and wasn't held accountable for those he put in harms way and now he's running for Mayor ------ As they say AW HELL TO THE NO !! 7 hours ago, BillsFanNC said: That's exactly what they need in NYC !!! The one next to NYU! I go there a couple times a month just for the upstate NY nostalgia! Zohran picked up the Bernie Sanders endorsement yesterday, so now he’s ready to roll for this coming Tuesday. It will be an all-hands-on-deck canvassing adventure over the final weekend. We still need volunteers in the Bronx, FYI…for any progressive PPP lurkers out there… My official ranked-choice top-5 vote for Tuesday: 1. Zohran Mamdani 2. Brad Lander 3. Zellnor Myrie 4. Scott Stringer 5. Adrienne Adams It’s super strategic if you’re a progressive: Zohran #1, all 5 spots filled, no Cuomo listed, and Adrienne Adams as an emergency anti-Cuomo centrist rally candidate.
