I would have been fine with control of the NG being returned to Newsom.  They did their job quelling the riots so Trump already gets the victory.  But if the riots started up again, it's a huge black eye for Newsom.

The unintentional hilarity of this post is comedy gold.  Sending troops in to arrest people walking peacefully and safely on the beach is "out of context" but sending in troops to arrest those committing criminal acts and trying to prevent another Summer of 2020 is terrible.
