We need to remember that actual protests are legitimate. As long as they're properly permitted and following the law.

 

The problem is that even many of the protests that don't turn violent are still unlawful. Blocking public roadways and taking the protest outside of the permitted area isn't lawful.

 

If you find that a protest is coming to your area, find the literature being distributed around it. If it says non-violent anywhere that's an near certain sign that it will be violent (mostly peaceful in green sky language).
