eSJayDee Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Depending on how handy you are, you can modify Greenworks batteries to work in Kobalt tools (& vice versa). Alternately, you can swap out the innards. 1 Quote

It’s a pain to keep the cord out of the way, but it’s invincible out doing its job. Exactly! We don't vacuum up the cord? A little skill and like you said: invincible! Quote

All use basically same inside batteries (forget the common model number). I use then to cross over DeWalt-Milwaukee-Craftsman(IIRC is Craftsman/Stanley/B&D)... B&D/Stanley is also DeWalt. Only Makita stands alone... From the date of this: Also... Great mods online, YouTube if you can secure a 3D printer... It's all coming outta China... CORRECTION: Hilton too... 1 Quote

Grass is ripped, whereas the manual reel mowers of the 50s actually sheared the grass. My father had conniptions because our mailman would toss the twine from mail bundles onto the grass, screwing up the sharpness of the reel. The air would be blue with curses when that happened. 🤬 Quote

I notice then AND the two BigBoxes stand alone on that chart. I wonder where they (Husky/Kobalt) source their parts from? Quote
jayg Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Probably not useful to you, but maybe somebody else. I just got the EGO lawn tractor and I love it. My craftsman riding mower was still running, but after twenty three years it started to smoke. The ego was $500 off and with the looming tariffs, or maybe not now, I went ahead and pulled the trigger. I had all greenworks yard tools but like the ego mower much better and it came with six batteries. I have .62 of an acre and it covers it easily. SO QUIET! 1 Quote
yall Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I just got a Craftsman electric as a backup. Haven't used it all that much yet, but so far so good. Dual batteries, so it lasts pretty long provided your not sing the self propulsion which cuts the run time by about half. 1 Quote

The lawn is pretty flat, and I like the exercise. Who picked up the Craftsman brand? Lowe’s? Quote

The reviews on the Egos are slightly higher, but I already have a ton of Craftsman cordless products that use the same chargers so I stuck with them. I also bought one for my tenant about a year and a half ago and her son uses it pretty regularly with no complaints. Quote

You can't go wrong with a reel lawn mower for a lawn size of yours. 1 Quote

Do they still make gas power reel mowers or did those go the way of the Jart/lawn dart? 2 minutes ago, Roundybout said: How does Home Depot fit her in the box? Strongly leaning that way. Model not included, just the bikini. Gotta make it fit... Quote
