And you are not with Maga, they have not thought this out to this degree. You would need to draw a picture book for them to explain where you are coming from. I think they can deal with Israel and Gaza without taking a bribe. Ugh…you are probably correct: I shouldn’t be trivializing the dangerous precedent it sets to violate the Constitution without penalty, nor should I expect Trump to competently negotiate such a complex peace deal. 1

Trump is probably the only President I believe can negotiate complex peace deals. Im not sure why those that hate him can’t acknowledge the relative global calm in comparison to other Presidents that we had under Trump 45. Russia invaded Ukraine before and after him.. not really during his tenure. He negotiated the withdrawal from Afghanistan, which Biden mangled in the execution of.. he killed terror leaders without much retaliation and his admin negotiated the Abraham Accords, which will likely be expanded upon during 47. India/Pakistan was about to pop off.. until it didn’t. Id honestly be surprised if he doesn’t negotiate a new Iran deal and the end of the Ukraine/Russia war in the next year or two. 1

That’s just it, I mean aren’t we already working on a new AF1? Why would we dump more money into this to bring it up to military standards? 2

The new AF1 contract was signed in 2018 and was supposed to be delivered in 2022, I unfortunately it will not be delivered until 2029 because of incompetence.

4th&long Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago It doesn't mean accept a bribe because boeing is late on delivering a plane. Why didn't trump just go thru congress to get it approved? Because Maga and trump don't care about the Constitution. The af1 they have now would be fine until the new one is ready. White trash Maga defending everything their lord does. 1

Then I happened to catch CNN and they had someone on there who talked to a person who was in the room when the negotiations went down with Rubio. And CNN wouldn't lie for Trump's benefit. Which makes me wonder why India would lie?

If it's a gift to the US government, why doesn't Congress just approve the acceptance of it? Repubs control both houses. Problem solved. Why is it going to his presidential library after he's out of office instead of staying in service? Especially if we spend big money to get it ready as AF-1? What are the chances it actually stays parked at the Presidential library? Sounds more like a thinly disguised personal bribe at this point. Hope that changes as the Constitution seems clear on this. 1 1

The Frankish Reich Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Lawrence O'Donnell nails it. He answers my question - the question Trump and his ilk cannot answer: Why wouldn't the Qatari 747 remain property of the U.S. Government after Trump is gone? The answer: because it's not about the U.S. Government receiving a gift. It's not about Air Force 1. The Qatari 747 would have to be retrofitted to meet all the DOD requirements before it would even be put in service, so who knows how long Trump could even use it as President. No. It's about the plane reverting to the Trump Library when his term ends. A Trump Library run by Trump and his buttkissers, so Trump will be able to fly on the most magnificent flying palace ever to his various personal/post-presidency engagements. In other words, it's about a gift that's personal to Trump, not to the American people. 2

They don't want to give him credit and/or they're splitting hairs that while Trump brought them together Rubio didn't contribute significantly to the negotiations. Pakistan already thanked Trump, that in itself tells everyone all we need to know. 3 minutes ago, 4th&long said: Like my nuts I didn't support them you ***** for brains.
