Who the hell wants to resume getting binned in six weeks? Are you serious?

That's a rather odd conclusion from reading that Egypt is saying that Hamas won't accept a ceasefire.

You said people can’t see past their nose. That’s you. That’s your confession.

Au contraire.  I always think about the consequences of my actions.

I’ve made myself clear. The 67 borders are sufficient with no strings attached and no settlements. The extremists will eventually fade away under those conditions.

I misread your initial response with respect to the 67 borders.  You were, indeed, clear on that.

The '67 borders still wouldn't be enough.  "From the river to the sea" isn't just a snappy slogan...

I would question his assertion that all the bad seeds would simply fade away just based on human nature, but I misread what he said and wanted to acknowledge that.

I take him at his word that he believes what he believes.

Sorry is already posted. The US military, a global force for good

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/03/07/israel-hamas-war-news-gaza-palestine/

The U.S. military will build a temporary port and pier on Gaza’s coastline to provide a new route for humanitarian aid, President Biden is set to announce in his State of the Union address Thursday evening, according to senior administration officials. The officials, speaking on condition of anonymity under ground rules set by the White House, said the plan is part of Biden’s orders to “flood the zone” with assistance arriving by air, land and sea. Hamas said in a statement Thursday that its delegation has left cease-fire negotiations in Cairo “to consult with the leadership of the movement” on issues including aid and the return of displaced people. Egyptian state media reported that talks would resume next week. Pressure is growing on parties to reach a cease-fire deal as the Islamic holy month of Ramadan approaches early next week. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller told reporters Wednesday that he was still optimistic a deal could be reached..

And before the usual suspects jump in, the real humanitarian move would be to convince Hamas to accept the (overly generous) cease-fire terms.

I thought the US Administration suggested there would be a ceasefire a week ago Monday, just prior to the Michigan primary.

That didn't happen?

I'm sure he also thinks 911 was an inside job.

Hey Westy...

People believe all sorts of things, especially when they are emotionally vested in whatever is happening.  He doesn't subscribe to the official narrative, and if my perception was that people were out to kill and destroy my family members, I might feel the same.   In fact, anyone spending anytime on this board at all knows that at any given point in time, someone here (conservative, liberal or even an independent like John from R) is distrustful of what the govt is saying, why they are saying and completely believe in sinister and nefarious intent.

I don't believe it, but it's not a stretch to understand why he might.

It’s a 6 week ceasefire. I wouldn’t give up the hostages until there’s a permanent ceasefire.

I also disagree with that slogan. I’ve said that before. Many of those that use it say it doesn’t mean they want to destroy Israel. I still wouldn’t use it. Israel uses it too. I don’t see you bitching about that though.

On purpose?

Do they use their own people as human shields?

if you watched those videos you wouldn’t have asked that question. Yes it was on purpose. Also do you know what the Hannibal directive is? Most likely no.

I don’t condone that human shield crap. I don’t support Hamas.

You're saying they knew they were Israelis and fired on them anyway?

That’s what the IDF soldier said in one of those videos.

Dude. Just watch the videos I shared above.

So let's clarify.

We will be using American military to build a port in Hamas held territory,

for the benefit of terrorists that still holds American hostages and is currently at war with a US ally?
