Wacka
First role I believe was in "The Russians are coming! The Russians are coming!" "Emergency! Emergency! Everybody to get from street!" He played the Russian sub commander that had to pull into a NE village when his sub had problems.

Alan Arkin was great in this and so many other flicks. RIP

RIP It’s actually one of the first movies I remember seeing. I think it was at that little theater in Hamburg the same year as Yellow Submarine with the Beatles. Alan Arkin never failed to make a good impression with his work, taking on some quirky roles. Very talented man. RIP. EDIT: Yellow Submarine movie was a couple years later. Alan Arkin was in the first movie I remember seeing at a theater. . Edited July 2, 2023 by Augie

Fleezoid
It was a small part, but I liked him as the police chief in "So, I Married an Ax Murderer". His scenes were a funny jab at literally every cop movie.
JÂy RÛßeÒ
His performance as Chief in the Steve Carrell version of Get Smart is understated and hilarious
