As stated it is a rare occurrence but if the main witness is getting time off their conviction and has previously said the exact opposite, then yes it should be allowed to happen. After today, the Manhattan grand jury will next convene on Monday, when it is possible they could hear additional testimony from a witness. The district attorney’s office declined to comment.
