I LOVE that you downplay the studies but appear eager to ignore counterexamples. Well done "scientist."

I downplay studies in light of the real world numbers.

You dismiss real world numbers cause you believe so much in the studies.

Which one sound counter intuitive to you?

Again, make your point using real world numbers form any number of sites ....

Let me put it another way..forget there was ever a study by interested parties but out and you were only presented with the following facts:

November 24th of 2020 there were 5500 cases of Covid and 39 deaths in NYS and zero vaccinated.

November 24th of 2021 there were 7200 cases of Covid and 50 deaths with 70% Vaccinated...

your conclusion would be the vaccine works as advertised?

Do the US. CA. NC. NJ. FL. Countless others.

You're not doing science. You're cherry picking to support your position that vaccines don't work, which is against the great weight of scientific consensus, the studies that you must believe are lies and conspiracies. You've gone off the deep end, but I'm sure there's a community that embraces your growth.

It’s amazing that people like the OP believe they are on the right side of history here.

Ironically enough, the liberal dream of M4A will never happen now.  Anyone on the fence (myself included) will look back at how they acted during this and balk at ever giving them more power to wield in authoritarian fashion.

again, explain to me how cases are up 25% year over year in NYS on same dates, deaths are up....and yet you claim vaccines work like they were promised.

Just explain how that is...using real world numbers and not freaking studies!!!!!

I did.  You ignored it.

I didn’t realize that writing an insurance policy so that policyholders and stakeholders benefit is authoritarian.  Last I checked, that sounds like capitalism.  Sounds like you might be on the wrong side of it.  I’m sorry to hear that.  Hoax.  Actually, I don’t care and I hope someone jacks up your premiums so I don’t have to pay for your stupidity if you get sick.

Don't want to get a safe vaccine for COVID?  Cool.  Just make sure when you inevitably get COVID that you shelter in place, maybe even die in place, and don't increase my insurance premiums through your unnecessary hospitalization or waste my tax dollars treating or convalescing on government dime.  (Not that any anti-vaxxers would, because of their firm stance against socialism.  Hoax.  They all would because they're morons who love their social security and medicaid but aren't smart enough to realize that such reallocations are--gasp--socialism.)

It's about time someone has suggested something like this with respect to health insurance exclusions.  Freedom and capitalism at their finest!

Do you call out smokers, alcoholics, self-induced diabetics and obese people for increasing your insurance premiums and call for health insurance exclusions or do you save this indignation only those who have, for whatever reason, not gotten vaccinated?

It’s not an indignation.  And back read. I don’t like gluttons, either.

Agreed, and he's using his own narrow slice of statistics to fit his/your narrative.

Narratives are like butt holes- everybody’s got one...but if you’re lucky, you can block it to find the truth...😉

Yes. That is the one word I read and pretty much stopped. HIS.

That and he started a thread to put his indignation on display.

More poorly thought-out arguments by the 3rd chair.

Another awful take by C3. Not only does he want to enjoy the benefits of group health insurance, but he wants to exclude others so his slice of the cost is less. If you want “ fair” the only way to achieve it is to eliminate health insurance altogether and make all payments for health services out of pocket. Everyone pays the same rate more or less, just like shopping at your local stores or getting a car repair. Health insurance isn’t intended to make anything fair or splitting the cost equally. It’s spreading the cost of services that some will use and some won’t ( to widely varying degrees) among many to reduce the cost to the individual when it IS used. He wants to split a dinner check 4 ways but only put in $2 for the tip.

Hoax.   You want to gorge at the buffet and then make me pay the bill.  Get your shot or pay up.  America, baby.  Freedom.

Then get your own individual coverage and get medically underwritten.  But don’t B word to us when your premiums potentially go up from what you’re likely paying in your group plan.

Again sounds like you don’t understand how this works.

Exciting news for those who, like me, love freedom.  It turns out that surcharges of up to 30% of the cost of employer-sponsored health insurance can be charged to those who unjustifiably refuse a COVID-19 vaccine.   I’m sure that we can all agree that this is great news.

And, if you don’t want to get the vax, and want to continue to freeload on my good health habits in the collective pooling of risk, remember that you have the freedom to go without health insurance.  (Which makes sense, anyways, because COVID is just another hoax by those evil rotten Democrats.  Hoax.  It’s not.  But we all know that.). Enjoy our freedom, and the inevitable surcharges that will accompany your exercise of your freedom not to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
