They seem to be.

In Chicago it was the teacher's union and a few others.

Same in the state you mentioned.

2020 saw the young folk save the dems.   NY and Hockel. was the young vote and mail ins that took her over the line.

and probably why the Money is funding PACS that market to that age group.

Gen Z is the most diverse generation this nation has seen. Corporations know this and are messaging to appeal to them. Republican Party is a big turnoff for most of them and the party isn’t doing anything to appeal to them. You all can say it’s indoctrination or whatever but unless the R party changes, it will die.

People say this about every young generation, and as they get older, we see the same political dynamics we’ve always had.

I will say though, that there are two things R’s need to immediately understand and address:

1) Democrats are mobilizing Gen Z far better than any young Generation we’ve seen.  Typically they’re loud but don’t vote - not so anymore.  Much of that due to the advancement of tech, and the ability of D’s to understand that and pair it with culture.

Also, years of Dems targeting institutions is paying off.  We didn’t just rapidly get to a point where young people were radicalized anti-gun, climate justice, trans right activists … it was gradual influencing through the school system.

2) The reason people become more conservative as they get older typically has to do with them getting married, having kids and career advancement.

-Marriage rates, down.

-People having children, down.

-Post Covid, Its a very different economy.  Gen Z is on pace to make the least amount of money of any generation, therefore they are more apt to believe in govt dependency.

Except the data shows that isn’t happening with millennials. They should already be bending towards conservatism but they aren’t.

I would wager that previous generations became more conservative as they accumulated wealth, but with the drastically higher costs of housing, education, and healthcare, millennials haven’t had that experience and have therefore remained liberal at ages when previous generations had become conservative.

I’d agree with that.

Also the marriage rate mixed with childless women in their 30’s definitely plays a big part in the Millennial political landscape.

The voting difference between married women (lean R) and single women (landslide D) is staggering.

Republicans are complaining about this all the time. Do you all think the Democratic Party have secret operatives in all the schools and colleges radicalizing the youth of America? Isn’t it more likely that the people who choose teaching as a career (they aren’t doing it for the money) are of the caring, nurturing personality type who care about issues such as the environment, equality, health, science, etc. People who think this way are probably more likely to be dems just as Wall Street bankers and oil drillers are probably more likely to be republican. It’s just the way the world works. Teachers are just one influence in the lives of youth. There is also parents, community, culture, etc. Young people want to grow up in a world that reflects their values so they march and protest for change. That’s not radical. That’s American.

Also, each generation has experienced more freedom and greater quality of life than those before, but Gen Z may be realizing that that may not be true for them.

Marriage rates and birth rates will continue to decline as the costs of living continue to rise.

The difference between financial stability on one income in your late twenties versus needing dual incomes to afford a middle class life in your thirties is probably several children over the life of a marriage.

Why do you think there is such a war on school boards right now?

For so long, conservatives & right leaning independents paid no mind to things like school boards (and, fwiw, local judges), however Dems/Progressives smartly realized that the easiest way to gain influence is through local judges and school systems.

Covid opened up the eyes of many, but were now seeing decades of progressive influence at the local level.

As for your second point, I’d agree .. Millennials are struggling, but scraping by.. Gen Z may be the first generation in a long time that truly feels left behind.

And that is why, unless it changes course, the GOP’s days are numbered.

right wingers love cancel culture, it’s really sad how much they love censorship of views they don’t like.

Me not buying something is censoring you? Or is it canceling you?

If the GOP was smart, they’d hard pivot to Hispanics.

Hispanic vote continues to shift to the right every election and they align on almost every value.

Immigration is obviously the tightrope they have to walk, but studies show that once migrants come here, and have legal status, they actually value border security.

Thankfully, they aren't smart.  Look around the block here.  there's melon head, and pud, afterbirth and tardo...God, high school was rough.  What doesn't kill you makes you stronger tho

Go woke go broke is the purest most uncut form of cancel culture

You think that my not buying Disney is why the quality has gone down? Woke means that you choose lesser people simply so you can have "representation" of a group. Picking lesser people and choosing to create a lesser product to ensure representation is what causes you to go broke.

These republicans boycotting Budweiser is such a losing position. I’m pretty sure Budweiser has done their market research to know the demographics of Gen Z that they want to appeal to. The boycott will please 30% of America but won’t grow your following. And there are fewer of those 30% every year.

Plus , they're getting into the weed biz.  Plenty of R buyers despite their denials.  TLRY was the joyride stock of the decade.  just needed to get out before people realized it wasn't really justified:
