Then the suit would be thrown out? And the system would work…no? Maybe it just forces the hand of the stalker to knock it off! I have no problem with it. “Rich people” should not be fair game. Is there a trend where rich people are suing people for no apparent reason whatsoever?

So you sue Elonjet and the stalker is going to knock it off?  😂

No the system would not work.  We so need tort reform. I’ve been saying this forever.

We agree there. Remember, I thought the response was directed at suing the actual stalker.

CNN Lets the Mask Slip in Huffy Segment on Elon Musk's Release of 'Twitter Files'

On Tuesday, our friends over at Newsbusters posted the results of an analysis they did which showed that CNN and MSNBC gave little to no coverage of the first five installments of the Twitter Files, a series of revelational behind-the-scenes documents on how things worked under the old regime and which have gradually been released over the last two weeks.

“Since the first set of documents were published on the evening of December 2, less [than] half of one percent of the coverage on either network has even bothered to mention the story,” NB Media Editor Bill D’Agostino noted. Their findings dovetailed with early tracking Fox News did in the aftermath of the release of the first series, which was about the decision-making behind Twitter’s deliberate suppression of the NY Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story back in October 2020.

CNN, however, switched gears Wednesday and gave the Twitter Files a little more attention. Not surprisingly, they attempted to downplay the significance not just by suggesting that the government had nothing to do with stifling the story, but also with a sly comment “CNN This Morning” co-host Poppy Hollow slipped into her introduction on the topic.

“[Twitter CEO Elon] Musk selected a handful of journalists unaffiliated with major credible news organizations,” Harlow snarked shortly before she turned to fellow CNN hack Oliver Darcy for a heavily biased analysis of the documents:

That one deliberately-inserted comment pretty much gives the game away not just for CNN but also for other so-called “major credible news organizations” like the Washington Post, which have also given the story scant coverage beyond ones loaded with spin about how they “don’t prove anything,” in their view.

.

Musk smartly bypassed traditional media outlets, which virtually no one trusts anymore and for good reason, and instead released the files to independent journalists for publishing, including Weiss, a former NY Times opinion page editor, and Taibbi, a former Rolling Stone contributing editor, both of who respectively moved on to Substack and have amassed sizable followings in the process. They both have predictably been subjected to ridicule and attempts at discrediting by The Usual Suspects, many of who are simply jealous and seething that they were not made privy to the same information ahead of the release of the files.

I'm against Twitter banning anyone for stating opinions. Especially commie leftists. Allow them to speak Elon.

One thing is for certain...however these recent leftist suspensions happened at Twitter, it wasn't done at the behest of the federal government.

Unlike Twitter 1.0.

You know what he posted that resulted in this ban?   What was it?

He claims not to know. Other accounts similar to his (covering Musk or right wing media) have also been banned with seemingly no explanation.

This isn’t at all surprising. Buying Twitter was never about free speech.

He claims not to know what he tweeted that got him suspended?  Others claim not to know what they tweeted that got them suspended?  That’s weird.

It’s completely plausible and highly likely they tweeted something that directly and egregiously violated TOS, did so knowingly with intent, the ultimate goal being to get suspended to complain about being suspended to destroy a free speech platform they do not support.   Think Jussie Smollette.

Or maybe they are victims of a Twitter Coup, which I shall now call a Twoup!

Free speech! Free speech! All hail Elon, champion of free speech!

Private company. Can do what as they wish!

Sound familiar?

And again, unless clear proof is shown of violation of Twitter policy I do not agree with these suspensions.

Twitter suspends journalists who have been covering Elon Musk and the company

Quote

Twitter suspended several high-profile journalists Thursday evening who have been covering the company and Elon Musk.

The suspensions come a day after Twitter changed its policies around accounts that track private jets, including one owned by Elon Musk.

The accounts of Ryan Mac of The New York Times, Donie O'Sullivan of CNN, Drew Harwell of The Washington Post, Matt Binder of Mashable, Micah Lee of The Intercept and independent journalists Aaron Rupar, Keith Olbermann and Tony Webster had all been suspended as of Thursday evening.

The Twitter account for Mastodon, a platform billed as an alternative, was also suspended early Thursday evening.

It was not immediately clear why the accounts were suspended, though some had been tweeting about the suspension of the Twitter account that tracked Musk's jet, @ElonJet, and its availability on Mastodon.

As of Thursday evening, Twitter accounts operated by NBC News journalists were unable to tweet a link to the Mastodon account of @ElonJet.

Lee said in a text message that before the suspension he had attempted to tweet out a link to the Mastodon account that tracked Musk’s jet but was unable to and instead tweeted a screenshot.

The suspensions come as Musk has backtracked on his promise that he would run Twitter as a free speech absolutist, reinstating accounts associated with the QAnon movement and other far-right groups while banning others.

Internally, he has removed critics of his policies from the company.

The suspensions add to what has been a tumultuous couple of days for Twitter after the company first suspended the account that tracked Musk’s jet.

Musk appeared to threaten legal action against its creator, Jack Sweeney, a 20-year-old Florida college student, after Musk claimed a “stalker” confronted a car carrying his child in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Musk provided no proof that Sweeney or his account was involved. He did not provide a time or location in the sprawling metropolitan area where the claimed incident occurred.

Sweeney told NBC News on Wednesday that he hasn’t received any notification of legal action, and the last time his bot tweeted anything was Dec. 12, “which is not last night, so I don’t get how that’s connected.”

The Los Angeles Police Department said Thursday that no police reports had been filed.

“LAPD’s Threat Management Unit is aware of the situation and tweet by Elon Musk and is in contact with his representatives and security team. No crime reports have been filed yet,” Officer Lizeth Loeni, a police public information officer, said in a statement Thursday evening.

There are other law enforcement departments that also cover parts of the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

I’m sure the Muskateers will find a way to defend this but it really looks like a pouty spoiled child taking revenge against people he doesn’t like.
