Buried inside the 600-page bill that's ostensibly meant to provide pandemic relief is a provision requiring gig economy platforms to report information to the IRS about all users who earn at least $600 in a year. Previously, platforms were only required to provide the IRS with information on users who made at least 200 transactions or earned at least $2,000. The tightening of the reporting requirements means a lot more paperwork and tax compliance requirements for platforms. Trump is THE leader for that subset of the population. How did you come to the conclusion that white male Rs are skeptical (I’m assuming by that we mean “won’t get it”)? I’ve read quite a few reports that cynicism regarding vaccines runs quite high in the black community in general. I’ve become highly skeptical of the information that Das Fauci shares, and know many people of various political ideology that are cautious of the vaccine due to the speed it was developed. That is all. ...though on the trust issue, my neighbor had a long bout with rectal cancer, recovered and was doing well. A year or so ago she started having severe intestinal issues, uncontrollable diarrhea, pain etc. She was told the problem was caused by scar tissue and problems with radiation and chemo. She fought bravely, deteriorated and ended up in hospice. 3 days before she died, she tested positive for COVID. One wonders what her death certificate says.
