HOUSE
Browns' Morgan Burnett believed to have torn Achilles By Kevin Patra Around the NFL Writer Published: Nov. 15, 2019 at 10:25 a.m. Updated: Nov. 15, 2019 at 10:37 a.m. The Cleveland Browns could be without a key defender for the rest of the season. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday that safety Morgan Burnett is believed to have suffered a torn Achilles in Thursday night's 21-7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, per a source informed of the situation. Burnett is expected to have an MRI on Friday. If the test confirms the diagnosis, Burnett would be out for the season. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001076986/article/browns-morgan-burnett-believed-to-have-torn-achilles

freddyjj
Oh wow they were weak at Safety already. Couple this with Garrett being sat down for a number of games and their D looks pretty ordinary
HOUSE
Could be career ending Oh well. The Browns can always draft another convict in the 3rd round

I think it's a bit of a stretch to call that one head hunting. It looks to me like one of those unfortunate but not really intentional hits:
TigerJ
Ouch. The Achilles rupture is about as bad an injury as a player can have. Players tear their ACL these days and routinely come back after 9 months to a year. They may be less effective for a while, but most eventually recover completely. I'll be surprised if Burnett plays next year, and as a DB, he may never be as effective as he needs to be.

Based upon board sentiment earlier in the week, can he be converted to a K? ?
Utah John
We shouldn't ever be happy when a player is injured. He's a person, probably with a family, and this is how he earns a living. I am however very happy that Garrett was suspended. I think maybe a full season suspension next year would get the point across that this is the very definition of "unacceptable."

Punching Bag
He should ask Garrett to donate him his since he will not be using it this year.

At some point I think Sherman will move to FS like Woodson did for the latter part of his career. I think you are correct. He won't play at all next year and he will be ok for 2021.
