I have a wedding to attend tomorrow out of town, starting at 2 PM (yes, on a Sunday )

Lol. Is there a way to stream games on an Android phone? I was able to watch the Bears/Packers Thurs on my phone through the Yahoo Sports app. There's a countdown timer till the Bills game. Thanks!

Where is the wedding? If our game is local game in your market then NFL app will stream it. Yahoo sports I believe does as well. You can sign up for a free trial of YouTube TV and also use the app to watch the game.

Viewing steams of NFL games on reddit is 100% legal. It is only illegal to share or copy (download) copyrighted material. It is in fact NOT illegal to simply view it on your phone or computer. If that were the case it would be illegal to watch YouTube videos that contain copyrighted material or Facebook Live videos that show live games. You cannot break the law by watching a YouTube video or a Facebook Live.

So many people have a misunderstanding of this.

This is incorrect. streaming involves downloading a feed to your cache and is still considered copying.

Wrong! I have looked into this extensively. Only the person streaming, or people who are in possession of the copyrighted material (downloaded files) have broken a the copyright law.

Check this out and read the highlighted section Business Insider

I was going to argue with you, but have decided it's not worth my time.

why does it always have to be legal, man. although I was told, watching a linked stream is not illegal, yet the source of the stream are the ones streaming the feed illegally.

I don't mind sticking to those cable companies that have been raping the consumer all these years and still doing so. I mean, I do still have to pay for my internet, that's rape enough from the greedy bastards.

At the end of the day the real question is whether you will get in trouble for it. At present you will not.

You are brainwashed by the powers that be. Based on what you are saying, I can go on YouTube and watch Gladiator at this link and Im breaking the law?

Here is some case law:

I think on the old Bills message board it was "illegal" to ask how to stream games. Lol.

it's against the rules here to post a link, so far not against the rules to discuss. it's a bit more lenient here and a much better managed board/site. at least the forum is split up to give every member a choice of discussion all the way down to the ppp dungeon. bbmb was poorly managed and full of trolls toward the end, it's right where it belongs, in the past!

Or perhaps you're arguing semantics of law with someone who actually went to law school. Just a thought... Though from your brainwashing comment I am probably more apt to get through to you with an example. This would be like if I argued the merits of living at home with ones parents despite getting a degree in the liberal arts because it's more important to "chase your bliss."

Pulling the "i know more about this" card without actually arguing is super not helpful.  Plenty of dumb people go to law school.  Plenty of people go to law school and don't become lawyers.  Plenty of people go to law school and are bad lawyers.  Going to law school is not difficult to do.

Why don't you actually explain why its illegal so we can learn (I dont know anything about this but its interesting).

Well of course, since you asked so nicely ?
