Are you really still trying to win out or go 5-1 the rest of the way to make the playoffs? How much of what you saw Sunday was actually Barkley and do you think he'll continue to play that way once defenses have time to prepare and scheme for him? In my mind, the season is all but over and the only benefit to the team now is to develop Allen and prepare for the future. Will Allen really develop more by being on the bench as opposed to taking real game reps? You can prove to a locker room you aren't tanking regardless of the outcome of the last six games. You just need to compete and/or believe in the QB leading the offense. That is really a hilarious statement, and shows you haven't watched the Bills' defense at all this year. Since the 1st half of the Chargers game no QB (except maybe Luck) has performed well against Buffalo, and all of them are better QBs than McCown. Buffalo has lost football games because of horrid offense and ST play. Period. If you believed the Jets would win last week -- as most sane adults did -- it wasn't because you thought McCown would carve the Bills up, but because the Jets would eat Barkley alive. I thought the Jets had a better chance with McCown honestly. Darnold has looked like a rookie the last few weeks and this defense would have eaten him alive. Kid has 0 drops out of 40 catchable targets, after having bone of the worse drop ratios last year. Salute to him for clearly improving many facets of his game - route running, catching and awareness.
