Why Is Our Government Putting People In Cages?

Recommended Posts

The parents of 38 children under the age of 5 who were separated at the U.S. border cannot be located, government lawyers told Judge Dana Sabraw of the Southern District of California on Friday. Nineteen of the children have parents who have been deported, while parents of the other 19 children have reportedly been released in the U.S. The government has a court-imposed deadline requiring the 100 children under the age of five in its custody to be reunited with their parents by July 10th. Government lawyers said only half will be able to be reunited by that deadline. Judge Sabraw agreed to delay the deadline if the government provided a master list on the status of each parent and child by 10 a.m. PT on Monday.

DNA testing being done on separated migrant children and parents, official says
By Sonia Moghe and Nicole Chavez, CNN

CNN)DNA testing is being conducted as part of the process to reunite children who were separated from their parents at the border, a federal official with knowledge of the reunifications told CNN.

"The safety and security is paramount and that it is not uncommon for children to be trafficked or smuggled by those claiming to be parents. To our knowledge this is a cheek swab and is being done to expedite parental verification and ensuring reunification with verified parents due to child welfare concerns," the official said.

As always, you miss the point. Many of those children are being used to help get coyotes and sex traffickers set free in the U.S. The children will then become slaves of some sort.

He doesn't care about those kids. They use those kids as a weapon. Not a peep from these fools when 44 had them locked up in cages. It's a heartless and disgusting tatic the left uses. Tells you what kind of people they are.

I wish someone in the administration had suggested this, as a solution to eventually reuniting them with their parents.

I'd oppose such a program, but I'd love to see the Democrats' heads explode trying to figure out how to respond.

I dont know if this is meant to compare that to what going on now. If so, the circumstances and details matter...

Obama wasn’t purposely ripping kids from their parents arms, or purposely treating them cruelly. Or telling parents they’d never see their kids again.

This happened during an unprecedented surge of child immigrants fleeing to the US from Central America (around 2014 iirc).

The normal processing facilities were completely overwhelnmed, so they shipped the kids to those facilities in Nogales. And they were only kept there until they could be placed with a relative to await their day in court.

The kids being housed there also came on their own though, not with their parents.

and when there were children that came with their parents, they were kept together, not separated.

They were also treated as humanly and compassionately as possible.

That is a far cry from what’s going on now.

So for the record, you do not believe they are being "treated as humanly and compassionately as possible" today?
