But, agree abolishing Thursday night games all together would be the best thing. I actually really like the way the opening week sets up with the typical doubleheader on a Monday night. That might also be the only time that TNF doesn't put one (or both) teams at a competitive disadvantage. I like the Thursday game in Week 1 as a standalone opening ceremony for the season, if you will. Let the midweek be for other sports and CFB. This won’t stop teams from embracing the Color Rush concept on their own. Last week, the Titans unveiled an array of uniforms that includes the light-blue-on-light-blue Smurf look, specifically dubbed the team’s “Color Rush” uniforms. So while Color Rush may be dead as a mandatory, across-the-board program, it will still exist as a voluntary, periodic, alternate uniform program. And if Thursday night is going to become even more special, maybe that’s when teams will choose on their own to wear them. Keep Thursday football confined to Thanksgiving and a few other special late-season games.
