Gronkowski WILL RETIRE per - - -

IMO, this will end the Patriot dynasty.  In many ways, Gronk is propping up that offense.  They can't afford to lose him, he is Brady's safety valve, and he causes havoc in game-planning.

I wonder if he has given the Patriots no choice somehow and has orchestrated his way out

Gronk + #31 traded to the Raiders for #10, then #10 and a 2019 1st traded to move up to 4 or 5 and the Pats get their QB of the future right out from under us.

whats your problem man?

I think it will take more than Gronk and #31.  The last two tight end trades worth talking about were Jimmy Graham to Seattle which fetched a very low #1 (31) and Greg Olsen to Carolina for a 3rd (173).   That puts Gronk's value at the very highest as a low 1st.   Considering the guy has dealt with injuries and was openly considering retirement, he is probably more of a 2nd round value right now.

Who knows, I guess it could happen but the more likely trade is to Detroit or New Orleans for a low number #1.

I doubt Gronk fetches anything close to the 10th overall pick.

Gronk + #31, but I was being facetious.  Everyone takes things way too literal.

No, you could be onto something.  They'll need a QB, what with Brady retiring at the end of the 2018 season.

Gronk trade reportedly off the table after Cooks deal

JOHN BREECH

According to ESPN.com, the Patriots will not be trading Gronk this offseason. After dealing wide receiver Brandin Cooks to the Rams and losing Danny Amendola to the Dolphins, it appears that the Patriots have decided to hold on to the pass-catchers they have left, a group that includes Gronk, Julian Edelman and Chris Hogan.

Gronk's future with the Patriots has been up in the air since the Super Bowl, when he announced that he was contemplating retirement.

"I don't know how you heard that, but I mean I'm definitely going to look at my future, for sure," Gronkowski said after the Patriots' 41-33 loss to the Eagles. "I'm going to sit down in the next couple of weeks and see where I'm at."

Football players don't talk to kickers.

I want to believe you, but nobody talks to the kicker

Vonny Miller says he's always chillin with McManus (interview on PMT)  Gotskowski seems like a weirdo though so no one would want to be around that dude, he probably has his own separate room in the facility where Ernie Adams just jabs at him with cattle prods to stimulate his leg.  Now that I think about it Gotskowski seems like a big healing/focus crystal guy.  I think it just depends on the kicker/punter.  Some are personable some a crazy headcases the sacrifice pigeons to bang out a 35 yard kick. My one dude that worked for Oakland during the 15'-16 season said that when Marquette King signed his contract extension he went out and bought the team blow up dolls.  And you know that Janikowski just wanted to pack fat lips, crack brews, and boot out 60 yarders all day.

...a family friend of mine who happens to be the place kicker for the PATS...says Gronk told him 2 weeks ago he was retiring due to injuries and other opportunities.

Based on what he did to Tre'Davious White, I'm guessing he's going to work for the WWE.
