Wayne Arnold
And here we go... Flacco since 2015, the year Taylor took over for Buffalo, has a record of 14-18 and has thrown twice as many interceptions as touchdowns this season. So Ravens fans' are probably saying "Flacco is regressing and is at the end of the road". Bortles has never completed 60% of his passes since being drafted and has a losing career record. So Jaguars fans' are probably saying "If our 1st rd 3rd overall pick of Qb screws our season up because he can't hit his receivers 60% percent of the time he throws, I swear at season's end he's gator bait". You could already see from the Seniors Bowl that the 9'ers probably had something good in CJ Beathard. Hoyer is completing under 60% too. So 49ers fans' are probably singing The Hallelujah Song with the switch at Qb from "Brian "Journeyman" Hoyer. Tyrod Taylor has the higher Qb Rating of them all easily and the lower int% of them all this season. 6tds to 2 ints. 43 tds passing to 14 ints as of now for his career in Buffalo. More importantly has Buffalo positioned to reclaim the top spot in the division with a win. The fact that you just attempted to somehow group Taylor with these three Qb's who are struggling mightily for their respective teams, speaks to Taylor's point. A few more stats you left out by mistake... Sack Percentage: 11. Bortles - 5.6 14. Flacco - 6.1 20. Hoyer - 7.2 32. Taylor - 11.7 Passing yards per game: 24. Hoyer - 207.5 28. Taylor - 182.0 29. Bortles - 178.0 32. Flacco - 167.2 Touchdowns: T14. Bortles - 8 T23. Taylor - 6 T27. Flacco - 4 T27. Hoyer -
Game Manager
Don't know where anyone said he was above criticism, but if you want to play it that way to dead the issue that's fine too. He is being held to the same standard as Fitzpatrick, Manuel, Losman, Lewis and Edwards All have tried and failed. If you want to make it more than that go ahead. BananaB
Taylor gets crucified after losses because hes a Bills QB. All the previous QBs after Kelly have taken the same ****. This aint about race, this is about not living up to the expectations of Bills fans. Most of us dont want mediocre, we want what will make us great. As far as being labeled a mobile QB because of athletic ability (color) and not considered him a pocket passer, whoever made that judgement they hit the nail on the head. Since taking over as a starter he has led the league in rushing yards for a QB. We are also 1-12 when he has to throw over 30 times.
quinnearlysghost88
....primarily because he is a douchebag who showboats when he wins and cries when he loses. You get a lot of haters when you do that starting at about age 9. how is that different from Brady screaming at the opposing bench when he scores, and then bitching to the refs every single play he's touched. also this post became a dog whistle for western new york's finest to tell you their unsolicited views on race. You can walk up to any fan and they'll say they can't stand him. That he's a douche. That he's a whiner. Buuuttttttt they'll also tell the truth. grb
Does Taylor have cause to feel frustrated how his performance is perceived? I'd say yes, but for a variety of reasons. But leaving aside the question of race in that, one general observation on black athletes : They seem to have an easier time embodying any number of undesirable traits - such as "selfish" or "arrogant" or "obnoxious" - than their white peers. Given human nature, that sorta thing is never far off - so it's a bit unfair black athletes appear to have an inside track. My favorite example is "thug". I've see that term thrown around a lot in sports talk, but can't ever remember a white "thug". A few year back Virginia Tech had a very-white (honest-to-god) "thug" kicker. But I don't think anyone ever called him that....... Edited October 16, 2017 by grb

We hate QBs unless their on Jim Kellys level. it is what it is. Until a QB that plays for Buffalo takes the team on a respectable playoff run once or twice, regardless of how good the defense, WRs, and OC was/is/will be, hes gonna get crucified. They did state that he's only 6'1 and they couldn't do anything about it. Congrats to him on a long career against the odds as a short qb.
