What pick do you have? What type of league?

Recommended Posts

I have the 6th overall pick in a 10 team standard scoring league.

Its also a snake draft.

I am really hoping a top 3 RB falls to me as I can expect Julio,OBJ, and Antonio Brown to go in the top 5

How about you guys?

10 team league, keeper is Mike Evans or Julio, going with whoever is healthiest at end of camp. The draft list won't populate til draft day the 26th.

I was thinking about setting up a 10 team TBD league and donating a certain percentage of the prize pool to a charity of the groups choice. I'm not sure what level of interest we would have and would also seek SDS approval before doing anything formal.

I would be down for that league

No idea what pick I have yet. We draw random order for picking your own draft spot. So if you draw #1 you have your choice of the 12 spots. Adds a strategy element to the game.

That being said, what is the consensus best spot to be picking this year?

4 and 21? Ugh that 21 seems like an eternity away.

12 and 13? That is my go to pick, but I am starting to think that is a bit too late.

Yahoo league where the draft is done automatically. I think it's 12 people so there's a decent mix of good players. This will be my third year. My first year I ended up with both Gronk and Edleman. Last year my players all sucked so I was doing a lot of FA pickups throughout the year. Actually got to play spoiler towards the end when not once, but twice, my 10th place team beat a top seeded playoff team.

I have the 2nd pick in a 10 team league.

Snake Draft

I'm hoping to land David Johnson, to be honest. I'm in it with a buddy and several of his co-workers from work. He was telling me the first guy is boasting to the rest that he is selecting Brady with his first pick.

They would be foolish. Look at Brady's numbers the last 3 or so weeks in the postseason before he had that half in the SB. I'm being the know it all fool in my draft, keeping Evans over Julio.

Brady will have Cooks and Gronk back. While I certainly wouldn't take him in the first, I am definitely making him my keeper for a 4th rounder in my keeper league. If I am wrong then haha :censored: the Pats.

Evans over Julio is a brave move.

I picked 3rd it was a one keeper league.

Keeper Evans

Gurley

Cook

Reed

Benjamin

Perkins

Haushuka

Jaguars D

Carson

Hunt

Foreman

Kendall Wright

Deandre Washington

Devante Parker

I got burnt on running backs last year, I love KB and Evans so I'm hoping they both big seasons and my young backs get the lions share of carries and it allows me to play 3 backs and dictate match ups! I'm high on Hunt and Carson looked good. I got the guys I wanted for the most part, doesn't mean it will pan out but we shall see.

Winston is Qb'in this mess!

I have the 6th pick in a snake draft on 9/5. I think it will be too soon for Zeke unless his suspension is reduced. Any other ideas there?

It all depends if you can convince yourself that any RB on the board is going to stay healthy. Gordon/Shady/Etc. If you feel good about a RB take him at 6, WR has much more depth and the bell cow backs are rare.

I had the #3 pick in an NFL.COM PPR 12 team snake league.

I picked Antonio Brown...by the time my second pick came, all "sure thing #1 RB's" were off the board, so I picked Gronkowski.

My QB's: Jamies Winston and Jay Cutler

My Running Backs: Joe Mixon, CJ Anderson, Doug Martin, Rob Kelley, Jonathan Stewart, and Jamaal Williams

My receivers: Antonio Brown, Keenan Allen, DeSean Jackson, Kenny Stills, Zay Jones

My TE's: Rob Gronkowski and CJ Fidorowics

PK: Blair Walsh

DEF/ST: Seattle Seahawks

I am pretty happy with everything, except my running backs...if Mixon turns out to be the stud that he is purported to be, I will be in decent shape...

i an hoping I could get Zeke in the 2nd with a snake draft... and maybe take AB, Julio, etc at 6. but it's a huge risk

That said I'll all in on Kareem Hunt for the Chefs. How long can I wait?

Haha that's tough to gauge because Ware is now officially on the shelf for the season. I found the NFL.com ratings to be way off this year. I picked the guys when I wanted them, not where their ADP had them going. Just call me Doug Whaley!

In all seriousness though you can overdraft running backs and find WR value up and down the draft. Benjamins ADP was 80!? Davante Parker was like 100!? Plenty of guys like that who would be fine as a WR2 outside of Brown or Julio, Evans etc.

Take WR at 6 then get two backs in the 2nd and 3rd if the board shakes out like it should. Even if you miss on Zeke you can still find a Fournette, Cook, who will be getting volume.
