Not even sure Housley returns next year we are so bad.

Housley's role in all this remains a mystery in my opinion.

The failures this season don't necessarily fall on his shoulders...moreso on GMTM's shoulders.

The guy botched the crap out of the rebuild at a critical time.

Casey Mittelstadt, C, United States (Buffalo Sabres) - The No. 8 pick of the 2017 draft will play his first meaningful games in his future NHL city. He's fourth among NCAA Division I freshmen with 17 points (five goals, 12 assists) in 19 games at the University of Minnesota. Mittelstadt, 19, played left wing on the top United States line during the World Junior Summer Showcase, but played center and wing during the final evaluation camp, and could be in both spots during the tournament.

I can't argue with that.  I loved TM's deadpan schtick, but it turns out he made a lot of terrible decisions.

I can't put any of it on Housley. People need to remember this is essentially the same group that totally folded after their break last season. With a playoff spot squarely in sight they came out and lost to a crappy Rockies team and the losses mounted in a hurry. This team has NO character, NO veteran leadership, and NO accountability in the room. I just read the article in today's news about how much fun they have together, about how "tight" they are as a group. And Bogo's "hey you gotta have fun regardless" crap made me want to vomit.

They are TOO comfortable with losing.

And that is NOT acceptable on any level at any time on any team in any sport.

Can you imagine if Drury was on this team. He would have been reading the riot act and tossing boomboxes or (headphones and Iphones today) out of that locker room back in October, when teams have to bank points for later on. This team acts like they can take care of it tomorrow.

Newsflash losers: there are no more tomorrows left in this season.

Nice to know they can laugh and enjoy life. Hey, how about another $3,000 bottle of cognac to sooth the wounds boys?
