Only FARA charges for the Podesta Group as a whole. Individual charges, and sedition, have not been referred to NYS.

Can you link to the bolded? Every link I can find quotes the following or something close to it...

Former lobbyist Tony Podesta, Mercury Public Affairs partner and former Minnesota Republican Rep. Vin Weber and former Obama White House Counsel Greg Craig are all under federal investigation by prosecutors for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, multiple sources with knowledge of the matter told NBC News on Tuesday.

It's in your link. Look at the headline. Podesta Group and Mercury (who were in the Manafort indictments) were referred for FARA.

"... characterized the investigation as looking into whether lobbyists and operatives failed to register their work as foreign agents."

That does not mean whatsoever Podesta(s) aren't/can't be investigated for other crimes/offenses by Mueller's probe. And I know for certain they are still under SC investigation.

FARA is the least serious crime they could face from the evidence we know of in open source, let alone the evidence that we don't know about.

Say hi to Mueller for me the next time you guys chat.

Just to point you in the right direction: If they weren't still under SC investigation, you'd be seeing their faces much more on TV. Yet they've been ghosts, even on their own outlets/productions (Ancient Aliens) which have nothing to do with politics/news/current events. JP was not allowed to film new segments on Ancient Aliens as recently as three months ago (which caused production to stall and cost them money/pissed off the producers).

Why?

Unlike Comey, they have proper attorneys telling them to stay out of the spotlight while the investigation continues.

Daily Mail, a UK rag (which makes this all the better), gets this tape and story:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6429935/amp/Trump-rips-Obamas-administration-spying-campaign.html?__twitter_impression=true

IMO this is a coordinated release (the audio) with the administration and the start of the public reveal with regards to 44's direct involvement with the illegal surveillance operation. Hate the site and how it's laid out - but worth the read (especially the transcript at the end).

CL: Do you think, looking back, that Barack Obama knew what (James) Clapper and (John) Brennan and those guys were doing? The insurance policy to spy on the campaign and come after American citizens? Do you think he was aloof or do you think he knew?

THE PRESIDENT: Personally, I think he knew. Yeah. Just remember what they did. Let me put it this way: if the shoe were on the other foot, and the same thing happened to him, it would be treason and they’d be locked up for 100 years.

[On several documents pertaining to the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation , meetings between the FBI and top members of the Executive Branch are discussed. In most cases, the names of all individuals who attended these meetings are listed and unredacted, with the exception of one.

We have several sources who have informed us that this redacted name is President Barack Obama. If these sources are correct, it would mean that Obama had direct knowledge of the surveillance on Donald Trump.]

How's that work, anyway?  Don't they have to prove in court that he lied for it to violate his deal?

"Of course he knew.  Great statesman that he is, he was trying to protect the country from a Putin-sponsored fascist takeover.  Now that he failed, the neo-Nazis in the government are trying to persecute him for it."

There is no way any revelation of any sort changes anyone's mind at this late date.  The battle lines are already drawn.

Key propagandists who was a leader in the Birther movement. Lock him up! He might tell the law if Stone coordinated with Wikileaks to release stolen emails. This is another big deal.

Not cool to lock someone up for ideas, even if they turn out wrong.

This guy though, at least in that small picture taken from a distance, looks a little like Bob Kraft, so yes.  Lock him up.

I guess they got to Manafort and he decided to live in jail than die in jail?

Are you implying that Manaforts life is under threat while in Federal custody?

And one interesting legal tidbit, Law Enforcement is only responsible to protect an individual while in their custody.
