They actually get something on him, which much of the country will recognize as the establishment insiders protecting their cut of the pie from an outsider; or 2. They continue to manufacture controversy after controversy in an attempt to wear him down; This particular President has shown a tendency to be willing to take swings back at those who swing at him, and now has access to the inside intel on petty much everything that has happened...ever. While he's taken out some scumbags along the way, imagine the free-for-all when he flips and sings. ? And as bad a human as Michael Cohen seems to be, his attorney crowing about his love of family and honor makes him detestable even understanding his role here. I did find it interesting that he sold the expenditures to Trump's company as a retainer, without an actual retainer agreement.
