The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency

GREAT MOMENTS IN SELF-DELUSION: New York Times Publisher: Trump Hates Us, But We’re Fair, Accurate, and Unbiased.

Fresh in the wake of a New York Times factual face-plant over some sort of a non-accusing accuser of Brett Kavanaugh, Times publisher Arthur Gregg Sulzberger accused President Trump of weaponizing the term “fake news” in a talk at Brown University on Monday, which became a 3,400-word Times essay titled “The Growing Threat to Journalism Around the World.”

“When the president decries ‘fake news,’ he’s not interested in actual mistakes. He’s trying to delegitimize real news, dismissing factual and fair reporting as politically motivated fabrications,” Sulzberger claimed.

Speaking of the Fakest News, Sulzberger is walking around claiming the Times doesn’t display any bias in its pages: “We cannot allow ourselves to be baited or applauded into becoming anyone’s opposition or cheerleader. Our loyalty must be to facts, not to any party or any leader, and we must continue to follow the truth wherever it leads, without fear or favor.”

Earth to the latest King Arthur of Times Square: Stop the act. Everyone who reads the Times knows they are Trump’s opposition. Even insiders admit it.

Not to mention the paper trumpets its biases right in its own pages: How The New York Times Is Distorting American History.

Yup.

Wait...what?  People are saying Trump tried to fire Pelosi, not that he was obviously and intentionally conflating "Speaker of the House" and "Speaker FOR the House" to make a goddamn point?

When people ask why the Rs got little done in Trump's first two years when they had the House and Senate, the answer lies with that little ***** Paul Ryan. All this, and Fox already running 55% negative Trump administration stories. Wonder what this little ***** is hiding? <_<

IT’S MANAGEMENT BEDLAM”: MADNESS AT FOX NEWS AS TRUMP FACES IMPEACHMENT

A Trump identity crisis at Fox as Hannity frets, Lachlan Murdoch prepares for a post-Trump future, Paul Ryan whispers in Rupert’s ear, and Shep Smith and Tucker Carlson trade blows.

Paul Ryan is a real conservative who believes in conservative values. He cared about spending, and other conservative social issues.

Ryan couldn't work with Trump because Trump isn't a conservative. His fiscal policy should be a considered a train wreck in the eyes of people who supported the Tea Party.

Why do you think a man as young as him, who had never before hinted that he was getting tired of politics, not run again for reelection? Do you really think it was to spend more time with his family?

If it's about Trump, and Paul were as principled as he likes to pretend, one would imagine he'd feel a duty to remain in office to temper Trump's worst instincts. But instead, at the height of his power in the prime of his life -- he walks away from politics.

Why?

(He was forced out because he DIIIIIRTY)

I don't know about Ryan being dirty but I do know that he did not do Trump a solid on the wall. He made promises that he would get him the money and then ran out the clock.

He DEEP dirty. In the worst kind of stuff discussed. He was being groomed to be the establishment right's future for the next several decades.

PROGRESS, OF A SORT: New Yorker cover depicts Trump and Giuliani as mobsters murdering Uncle Sam.

I suppose that’s a step up for the New Yorker, since they’re showing Trump murdering a symbol, as opposed to Trump himself being murdered:

Trump's TV defenders are getting mauled

by Monica Showalter

Original Article

Apparently, it's not just enough to attack President Trump any more. The mainstream media is doing its level best to attack anyone defending Trump, too.

They've got venom to burn and nowhere was it more obvious than on the Sunday talk shows. As leftists and anti-Trumpsters glide right through interviews with zero probing, Trump defenders, in contrast, are getting the third degree. Just look at how bad it was over the weekend - here's a list. Start with 60 Minutes, which featured two anti-Trump Democrats and one pro-Trump Republican, stacking the airtime for the left. "I always said, we will follow the facts where they take us," House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claimed
