Trump foreign policy

Recommended Posts

Iran retaliating, perhaps, against the sanctions against their economy put on by Trump. Burning tankers in the Gulf and Straights! Trump's foreign policy leading us to war?

He doesn't have a clue about what he is doing.

And yet...Obama's greatness still resonates.

Quote

According to the U.N. nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran remains in compliance with the 2015 agreement.

All too believable.............

This reminds me of a Carly Simon song titled (I think) "The World Turned Upside Down". For anyone to think that Iran is the good guy here, they're crazy. Iran is being taken to task because of their misdeeds and promotion of terrorism, in addition to their nuclear program. Iran is pushing the envelope right now and they need to see that we will make them pay.

"BREAKING NEWS: Pearl Harbor attacked, because Roosevelt failed to heed the French Indochina warning and imposed more sanctions on Japan."

There were people who honestly believed that, too...and still do.

is it just the inherent distrust in me of the elite that thinks a false flag is a possibility here? used as rational to go after all those WMD's?

Awfully light on "specifics."  Literally, no more evidence than "because we said so."

Doesn't mean the statement was wrong...just that it was empty.

Or intentionally bland in order to hide methods.

My gut feeling is that your gut's an idiot...because when has that NOT been your gut feeling?

Often. Like many in the ME subtlety doesn't work very well. They respect strength if they feel you have the balls to use it. Our tepid foreign policy over the last few decades casts doubt on our determination in dealing with them. They need to be convinced.

If you are distrustful, think about people that already distrust this administration and their constant lies. Never has there been an administration with less credibility than this one. Way less than the WMD crowd even had. They are seriously in Baghdad Bob territory, and you guys have been able laugh off all these lies and wink and say, "Well, he's really pissing off the Libs with the lies, so it's ok" Now we have serious situation and our friggin government has zero credibility.

Why would anyone believe anything this Trump crowd had to say. Would you trust them with your sons life?

So you were with Hillary on the Iraq War thing, huh?

If it is Iran behind the tanker attacks, I wonder if it's a ploy to goad the US or KSA into a limited military response, so that they can rally their people around the flag against the Great Satan, and convince them to forget about overthrowing the mullahs.

I don't know if I can simplify a response enough for you but I'll try. Foreign policy needs a steady and resolute hand. You don't draw red lines in the sand and then not follow through. We are fortunate to be big and powerful enough that we have other options than just going to war with a country like Iran. Our energy reserves allow us to be independent in a way that most other countries cannot. That along with our large markets allow us to use sanctions and convince others to go along with them. Iran has no other choice than to eventually bend to our will. They can try going to war with us but we know how that would work out. This nonsense of using their proxys to attack shipping, etc. needs to be dealt with in a swift and crushing way. They need to know that if they attack a tanker again they're going to lose a refinery or more.

I think the general populace in Iran is more sophisticated than some of the other countries there and wouldn't fall for that. Sanctions are killing them. That's why they are acting up and that's why we need to keep them going until we eliminate their nuclear ambitions.

are you interested in having an honest discussion here or are you going to do nothing more than throw old outdated talking points at me? i am not interested in the latter, by any means.

i don't trust the elected elite in any way, shape or form. they do not have my, nor your best interests at heart and they haven't for quite some time. they are more consumed with their own vested interests and implementing the desired agenda of the hidden hand. we are nothing more than chattel to them and we only exist to serve them. so if it is a choice between Trump and the life long corruption of the swamp, i will gladly take my chances with Trump. at least he does things that are giving me a glimmer of hope that we can correct the wrong road we are on.

More likely a plan by neocons in the US. Donald has done a good job keeping us out of wars. Can't have that! It's been a few years  since we have had a major altercation with another country! Roll out the false flag. Again. Seems even Trump can't keep evil at bay for long.
