Week 3: Cardinals Game Preparation - Sammy & Darby Out!!

Watching the Cardinals O vs. the Patriots D was a lot of fun. Two heavyweights jabbing each other in the face. The occasional haymaker thrown and never backing down from each other.

Carson Palmer is a gritty SOB but he's a static target. Belichick did a good job of both bringing and creating the illusion of pressure. Rex has to bring it and hope to force a couple of errant passes.

Dareus is sorely missed when up against a QB like Palmer....

Bills do not match up well against the Cardinals here is why, they essentially are mirror images on Offense in terms of Size across the board at WR.

Jets top 3

6-4 230 Marshall

6-3 214 Decker

6-2 225 Enuwa

Cardinals top 3

6-3 218 Fitzgerald

6-3 225 Floyd

6-2 205 Brown

Our corners are little guys and they have had trouble in the past against big receivers.

Floyd is a goddamn bully. He's going to do what Marshall did on Thursday night. The kind of pushoff contact that's PI if a corner does it.

I'm honestly wondering if the best idea is playing Corey White on the boundary and shifting Darby inside to cover Fitz in their 3-wide sets. Fitz vs Robey could be a bloodbath.

Seymour has to play some role given his size and speed.

Seymour did not look good on Thursday. Cards will do similar to what got him in a bind, stacked sets and/or bunch sets. Seymour was slow picking a couple of those up.

I'll give him a pass in his 1st ever NFL game, but he'll have to contribute. OTOH, the Bills have to attack Brandon Williams.

My Take Five on the #Bills-#Cardinals game. NEW at BN Blitz: https://t.co/L3a1svPr2e

1. Put unrelenting pressure on Carson Palmer.

2. Run, run and run some more.

3. Offensive line can make a statement.

4. If Sammy Watkins is healthy and getting open, feed him.

5. Play like the desperate team that you are.

To win that game we are gonna need a bunch of turnovers and a resurrected offense. Its possible when Palmer gets hit early in the game he gets rattled and throws picks. This is one of the things Rex has to do. Make Palmer scared of the pass rush so hes seeing ghosts like Brady in the 2nd game last year.
