Kapernick  isn't playing because he sucked.  I looked up on NFL stats his last season. SF was 2-14. Then he sat out the next season.  No one, even the Patriots would take a chance on anyone  with those stats.

...he as well as BLM are repugnant frauds, the epitome of the cash and carry gang...the have nots wanting to drain the haves for no other reason than personal financial gain unearned...Socialism 101......they TRULY disparage the African-American citizenry component of our society  who have AND continue to to lead in their successes..... trying to drag the millions of African-American successes into this mess is nothing more than self serving......repulsive IMO...

When you are trying to organize a large scale boycott of Goya, you are trying to hurt everyone involved with the company. Will it be effective? I doubt it.

The point is, AOC and the others urging this boycott would love to put the company out of business for no other reason than the CEO said something supportive of Trump.

It's purely punitive and indicative of the culture right now.

Exactly, it’s not hurting anyone. You made it sound like someone was getting murdered or something.

Feds deny Walz's request for aid to rebuild after riots

Star Tribune [Minneapolis, MN], by Ryan Faircloth

Original Article

The federal government has denied Gov. Tim Walz’s request for aid to help rebuild and repair Twin Cities structures that were damaged in the unrest following George Floyd’s death. Walz asked President Donald Trump to declare a “major disaster” for the state of Minnesota in his request to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on July 2. More than 1,500 buildings were damaged by fires, looting and vandalism in the days of unrest that followed Floyd’s May 25 death in Minneapolis police custody, racking up more than $500 million in damages, according to Walz.

The state and city stood down while the man-caused disaster unfolded, feeling everyone's pain, and now they want the rest of us to pay the bills for their misguided compassion. Rightly denied.

The comments are strongly in favor of the denial.

If the city and state had quickly stepped in to disburse the rioters and looters, I would disagree with Trump. As the city appeared to encourage the destruction, and the state sat around with their thumb up their ass until Trump said stop it, or I will, money denied is really the only way to stop this lunatic aiding and abetting by mayors and governors. A stand down order from a mayor to the police should be immediate grounds for not one red cent from the feds.

WTF? Apparently, the entire point of my posts is somewhere in the stratosphere above your head...

Yes! I did think it silly. If liberals do anything you act like someone is getting murdered

It has nothing to do with liberal or conservative. It has to do with this culture of punishment that is permeating our society right now. I feel it is reprehensible behavior to try to hurt someone socially, financially, or in any other way simply because they have a different opinion.

It is hardly acting like someone is being murdered to point that out.

1-1 on back to back NFC Championship games and within 5 yards of a SB win.

In football if you are arguing performances from 5+ years ago you are in trouble. He had two great seasons, but he had two mediocre to poor season to end his career

Yes and no. The year after the SB his coach was too busy trying to land the Michigan job to try for another SB. Then the coach was replaced by Chip Kelly, a total tool.  At that point the team was a train wreck. Even Wonder Boy wouId have a hard time winning in that environment.

I am still right but the context does offer the question whose fault is it. CK was not good but his coaches did not help him and might have handicapped him. Good points.

Can you elaborate on what activities are being punished?  Bullets are fine...

In most situations, "justice for person A" is just another way of calling for the lynching of person B.

Rob multiple people with a gun by pointing it at their heads, encounter the cops with the gun in your hand and accidentally drop the gun, and then repeatedly reach for the gun... that’s straight out of the Julia Child recipe book for how to get shot by the police. Yet, he’s another “martyr” by the left... maybe they should erect a statue of this idiot so I can tear it down?

When the memo went out that the feds will not be paying for rebuilding looted cities with mayoral complicity...

(Portland has been doing better since the mayor's house was targeted. The BLM folks still have not realized that.)
