Mollie Hemingway looks into why Barack Obama leaked that audio of himself regarding Michael Flynn

As Twitchy reported earlier, former President Barack Obama held a “private” call with former administration officials to discuss how the Justice Department dismissing its case against Michael Flynn put the rule of law at risk. Plenty noted the irony of Obama suddenly expressing concern for the rule of law, but let’s talk for a second about how audio of that private phone call just happened to be “obtained” by Michael Isikoff of Yahoo News.

from the files of, 'some ***** you just can't make up' or, alternatively, 'reality is stranger than fiction', comes the following...

FLASHBACK: Barack Obama Pardoned a Former General Who Lied to the FBI

... “The news over the last 24 hours I think has been somewhat downplayed — about the Justice Department dropping charges against Michael Flynn,” Obama said. “And the fact that there is no precedent that anybody can find for someone who has been charged with perjury just getting off scot-free. That’s the kind of stuff where you begin to get worried that basic — not just institutional norms — but our basic understanding of rule of law is at risk. And when you start moving in those directions, it can accelerate pretty quickly as we’ve seen in other places.”

But, in 2017, just days before leaving office, Barack Obama pardoned retired Marine Corps general James E. Cartwright, who pleaded guilty to charges of lying to the FBI.

Cartwright served as vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Obama, and was “a key member of Mr. Obama’s national security team in his first term and earned a reputation as the president’s favorite general,” according to the New York Times. Cartwright had leaked classified information regarding Iran’s nuclear program to the media and lied to FBI officials investigating those leaks. He faced up to two years in prison before Obama pardoned him....

It’s even worse. Remember what Cartwright did. He didn’t leak information regarding Iran’s nuclear program, he leaked information about Stuxnet, a classified top secret weapon used by our ally. He “leaked it” on 44’s orders specifically to hurt Israel and give a bone to the Mullahs during the Iran Deal negotiations.

Then he waited, until the 11th hour, to pardon the guy who did his bidding.

There has never been a president who interfered in the peaceful transition of power before Obama.

Not speaking directly to you DR, but I've seen this sentiment in a lot of various places, so wanted to piggyback off it, to point out that, for the past few decades, the outgoing/ incoming administrations have been 2 sides of the same coin, so it hasn't ever even needed to be a consideration...not until a true outsider gained the office who was willing to expose it.

It truly amazes me how often these people just don't tell the FBI, "piss off, I am not answering any questions."

Mexico sheds light on note requesting answers over Obama era gun-running sting: report

By David Aaro | Fox News

The foreign minister of Mexico announced on Monday that he sent a diplomatic note to the U.S. requesting answers related to a gun-running sting that caused tension during the Obama administration, according to a report.

In a video posted on Twitter, Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard quoted Eric Holder, the former U.S. Attorney General, as saying Mexican authorities knew about the ill-fated 2009-2011 scheme known as "Fast and Furious."

"The [Mexican] government requests that it be provided with all the information available regarding the 'Fast and Furious' operation," Ebrard said, according to Reuters.
