For all the playmakers on this team they have played A LOT of unwatchable football this year and just as Mularkey refused to change so has Rex. Maybe I don't remember correctly, but he was told he could keep his job if he fired his assistants. He said I could not respect myself if I did that to save my skin, so I will fire myself instead. Why is that something that we are supposed to hate? I must have it all wrong. I bet the same thing happened with Marrone. He was told to fire Hackett. He wouldn't do it, and he quit. For all the playmakers on this team they have played A LOT of unwatchable football this year and just as Mularkey refused to change so has Rex. And actually there are parallels between this team and the 2003 Bills under Gregg-o. That team had some talent but had stubborn and overrated coaches who refused to adapt their schemes to fit the personnel (and account for Injuries), and lost the lockerroom as a result. No sacks allowed for the first time this season after giving up at least six in three different games under Whisenhunt.
