Maybe someone who understands that better can confirm or enlighten me please?)

Has all the makings of the classic Bills movie script we've all seen where you expect them to win, but in the end, the twist is always they lose. I'm taking the Titans in my points pool this week. I don't think the OL is very good. I think teams have realized you pass quickly against this team to minimize the rush, which plays perfectly for a game plan with a rookie QB... one look and pass.

1. Against a team that finished almost dead last in the prior season.

2. A rookie QB

3. Bills actually have talent

4. Bills have injuries

5. They lost to a team the Bills already beat

6. They don't have a household name a WR or RB but someone will have a career day

7. Their defense has given up sucessively more points each week... 14... 28... 35

8. They lost to the Browns, even we laugh at the Browns

All classic signs that should point to a Bills win but won't.

Yeah, I don't have a good feeling about this game. I just think the offense is hamstrung (figuratively and literally), and the book on the Bills D is out there. Plus I think Mariota is good--he's playing well and he doesn't turn the ball over much. And the Bills' RB situation is scary. Hope I'm wrong.

I don't understand this. We've been squarely beaten by the Pats this year, that's it. Teams will continue to throw the ball quick, but it won't be the death of this team as long as the O can produce.

I think Rex already answered this very well. and the defense has limited the offense.

Just stop with the errors and execute the plays. Let em throw it quick. This defense is much different than Jim's. And deeper then Pettine's, they will get rolling. hopefully soon enough for a playoff run!!

Manning had 170 yds before his 51 yarder to Jennings on 2nd to last series. I hardly consider 220+ yards dominant.

Luck, both Mannings, Rodgers and the Miami QB all struggled vs us. Brady is just a special cat. I hate him but damn he's good.

To the OP, not many QBs can run what Brady can so I think we bounce back vs rookie QB.

Most everyone on CBS picking against the Bills, they never change. (of course they were right v the Giants but that's beside the point)

Cortana seems as good as a coin toss. 50% accuracy.

Agreed. Eli was not having a stellar day w/o all the Bills penalties to aid his last few drives.

CBS Added. Knee jerk due to the Bills suckjob against the Giants? Maybe the injuries?

nope SOS see above

Actually they overwhelmingly picked the Bills against the Giants, 7-1.

when I looked last week Prisco and Brinson picked Buffalo, the other 5 Giants. Or, maybe that changed over time, or one was with the spread...

I knew I wasn't seeing things :D:beer:

Its tough to feel good about this game when it seems the book is out there on the Bills. If they can clean up their game like they did against Miami, and really get after Mariota they have a shot.

Interesting to read what the Titan fans are saying, http://www.musiccitymiracles.com/2015/10/6/9467523/titans-vs-bills-what-are-the-odds

I hate to say it, but the FiveThirtyEight prediction jives with my own lessened expectations after what we've seen so far.

A 9-7 record and a 4 in 10 shot at making the playoffs seems about right....right now.

Or, you know, flail around the next 7 weeks then catch fire the last 6 and miss the playoffs by a game. Although past performance is not a perfect indicator of future performance, it's about as good an indicator as we have.

Its certainly possible. You have a fair point.

Lets hope Rex adjusts his defense to either make it a bit simpler to communicate or gets the weaker players smarter in a hurry. Cinci is coming and Dalton is no slouch either. ( till the playoffs anyway lol )

I know folks dont want to hear about patience but thats all i can advise.

The Giants game was not as bad as some have made it out to be. The Patriots game was a tougher pill to swallow for me. regardless of the late push.
