New Stadium Already Being Discussed?

Howard Millstein owns half the vacant land in the Falls. He's a billionaire too. I expect him to make a bid on the Bills when that time comes.

FYI the GI bridges are not the only way into NF. There's River Road/LaSalle Expy, NF Blvd and Rt 104 from the East

I would love Bethlehem Steel on Route 5, but i don't see it happening, and the thing to consider is how do you get the most money for the Bills so they stay here! If we have a good lock on th next 7 years then you want a stadium that brings in the most dollars to keep it for the next 40 years. To me, that includes bringing in Canada for their dollars and possibly Rochester. You're not going to bring in Pittsburgh, Alleghany people. So that means put a stadium closer to Rochester, and Canada. I also, although i know everyone will be pissed at me to consider one game a year in Toronto that is non-divisional hopefully earlier in the year. Why? Money. It will make it really hard for Goodell to sign off on a deal where we have a stadium that pulls in Rochester and Canada, and have one pre-season, and one reagular early in the year season game non-divisional in Toronto.

To do so could keep Buffalo in Buffalo. Or each of you can be rigid, and watch the Los Angelos Bills or whatever they call them in 5 years. I'm not up for that. I want the Bills, my love until I die and beyond! Before you guys beat me up, I'm being pragmatic and the economy as all of you know sucks. WE cannot compete with larger cities so let's find a way to keep them here. My happiness is watching the Red, White, and Royal Blue!

Don't worry about losing the Bills anyone. Cuomo has absolutely destroyed all NY votes for his future run for office with his horrible gun laws. His only saving grace will be to ensure the Bills get the money they need to build a new stadium and keep them in WNY. Count on it or little Andy won't be in the Oval Office in 2016.

Inside info or just a hunch?

Based on what he has done with the land in Niagara Falls thus far, I have a feeling he will make us long for the days of Ralph Wilson.

Niagara Falls is the logical choice - lots of cheap land available, next to a world-famous attraction, no need to build more hotels as there are tens of thousands already available between NF, NY and ON. Closer proximity to the affluent Canadian market. The only real concern (and it's not a small one) is the G.I. Bridges. If an accident occured on one it would delay much of the crowd in arriving in time for the game.

did somebody say I needed cheater glasses to read your posts? A STADIUM IN NIAGARA FALLS WOULD BE A JOKE. GO GREEN RECYCLE THE RALPH NAME IT THE RALPH WILSON JR STADIUM. YEP, FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT FIGURED IT OUT YET........WHATS THE NAME OF THE STADIUM? WHAT THE NAME OF THE CURRENT OWNER?

The last time he won a bid for a franchise was for the Redskins. The league denied his bid because he had a history of suing everyone he bumped into. When his bid was denied he sued another bidder. He is one of those thugish business people who sues you not only to win but to destroy you. The league was very smart in keeping this lone ranger out of their club.

Niagara Falls is a dump. The Bills are better than that. I enjoy watching that city struggle decade after decade.

There is just something about the people in that town where bad attitudes are contagious. Buffalo seems like 100 miles away from Niagara Falls when it comes to its people.

PTR... doesn't he own the land adjacent to the Seneca Casino? That would be a natural partner for the stadium so they could bring in large events. I also love how people want a stadium overlooking the Falls, where are you going to put it on Goat Island? That's all govt park land out there folks, talk about red tape in the process.

Unless he uses his political connections to make sure the stadium is build in Niagara Falls and sells the land for 25 times what it is worth.

An architecture firm is Cleveland is putting thoughts into a geodesic dome for the Browns stadium. At a potential cost of $200 million, it could be an idea that would work for the Ralph. Save $ over building a new stadium and keep the one that has served us well for 40 years and counting. source: www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2012/10/cleveland_architecture_and_eng.html

If they built a retractable dome stadium in Niagara Falls, might it attract a Superbowl some day?

I think it would come down to whether or not WNY and Southern Ontario have enough hotel space. Even then it would be a long shot.

NF on the REZ...Buffalo Bill Cody style wild west show before(or after) the games.Convenient to canada commuters and rochester commuters.

Smoke signals before every home game. Build an old west village and native American museum around it .International destination.

Tons of tax breaks.

I would think there would be plenty of hotel space in a big tourist spot like Niagara Falls

Yes and no. Just WNY by itself absolutely not. Adding Southern Ontario would help but the issue is placing fans in Canada they would have to deal with customs coming in for the game and security for a major event would make it more difficult on game day. In addition, there is the need for two indoor practice facilities. The AFC Team would get the fieldhouse at RWS, but as of now no subtle indoor practice field is close, unless the NFC Team stays in Toronto and practices at Roger Centre. Any stadium complex built would need an attached convention center and a nearby hotel for the media for the game. I think the area would need to be successful in hosting an event such as the Final Four before even being considered for a Super Bowl.

Do what they did in JAX and float the hotels in. Seawaymax vessels are smaller. Each vessel can accommodate under 1,000 people or so.
