It sits in attached utility room[picture a attached garage]. What are your experiences with this? The adjuster will be here 12/26 and want to know If he is full of crap on his reason this happened. Â Is it a steam boiler or a hot water boiler? Â What kind of fuel does it use? Â I know from a zoning perspective that many places require a concrete or similar floor underneath a boiler. Got a very loud knock on the door at 4 am {one of my renters-lts a 4 unit ap. and I live here] :"Fire! get out!" He smelled it. I may be dead if not for him, this was 4am and I was sound asleep. Â Just speculation on my part, but the boiler's burner assembly might have failed putting it in close proximity with the combustible floor. Hope the fire wasn't too bad. My understanding from some recent arcticles is that Congress/Whitehouse is preparing to put additional "pollution" taxes on boilers. Looks like I'm in good shape. Just talked to allstate and no mater what this costs I am only liable for the $1000 deductable.
