Trayvon Martin Case

The outrage directed because of Trayvon was that George Zimmerman walked. In this case, these two mother !@#$ers are already behind bars.

The outrage portrayed by the media was because a white man murdered what was portrayed as a huggable black pudgy-cheeked Skittles-carrying teddy bear. So desperate was the media at painting this as a racial hate crime (remember Sheila Jackson Lee yelling that he hunted him down in cold blood?) that when it became clear Zimmerman was actually Hispanic, we had to refer to create a new reference of "white hispanic."

If Zimmerman was black, no one would report about and it no one in the media would care, including and especially Barack Obama. If they cared, they'd spend more time writing about all the young black kids murdered in cold blood on the streets of Chicago EVER FREAKING WEEKEND.

No, it was because Zimmerman originally walked. Remember, it took a month for anyone to notice the Trayvon Martin story, until his parents decided the court of public lynching would get them the results they desired before the criminal justice system would.

Has anyone been keeping up with this story? What a failure of the justice system! How this man hasn't been arrested for murder is beyond me.

Except we don't live in a world of what originally happened. We live in a world of what actually happened according to the media, and what actually happened was a gerbil-cheeked Skittle-eating Bambi-like-innocent child who was playing hopscotch on a neighborhood sidewalk was hunted down and murdered in cold blood by a white Hispanic man who woke up that morning eager to murder a minority child whose only crime was being black in a white neighborhood.

So two kids try to rob a mother at gunpoint, one of them shoots a 13-month old baby in the face, and then this...

Brunswick commissioner James Brooks Sr. arrested in connection with toddler murder investigation

Another arrest has been made in connection with the murder of a 13-month-old boy in Brunswick.

Mayor Pro Tem and Brunswick City Commissioner James Brooks Sr. was arrested Thursday on charges of influencing a witness and obstruction of an investigation, according to his attorney Allan Tucker.

Brooks allegedly would not allow a county investigator to speak with the mother of the 17-year-old suspect in the case when she left court.

Tucker told First Coast News he has not yet spoken with his client, but plans to be at the District Attorney's office first thing Friday morning to try and get Brooks out of the Glynn County Jail.

Our news partner The Florida Times-Union also reports that Brooks was charged with unrelated racketeering charges.

Update : Zimmerman says no to ‘stand your ground’; case going straight to trial

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/zimmerman-passes-stand-ground-hearing-chance-immunity-192058221.html

George Zimmerman has waived his right to a pretrial hearing over whether he should be acquitted of murder charges under Florida's "stand your ground" law. Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer who's charged with second-degree murder in the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, said Tuesday in court that he did not want the preliminary hearing, the Orlando Sentinel reported. The surprising move by Zimmerman's legal team means the controversial case will go straight to trial in early June. Zimmerman had the right under Florida's 7-year-old "stand your ground" law to argue to the judge in a special hearing without a jury that he's immune from both civil and criminal prosecution. The law, versions of which are on the books in 20 states, says people who have a reasonable belief their lives are in danger in a public place can harm an attacker without first attempting to retreat.

I think we would all agree that this is terrible. But did you get the part where they were arrested for murder? That's the tipping point in this case. The stand your ground law was written so vague that Z. was never arrested. Martin's parents thought this wasn't fair and turned the case over to the court of public opinion.

If anything the takeaway from this should be that the stand your ground law needs to be tweaked.

Prosecution contending that Martin's mental state (pot influence) the night he died doesn't matter. Naw, pot doesn't make you paranoid.

ORLANDO, Fla. -

State prosecutors in the case against George Zimmerman are pushing to keep Zimmerman's attorneys from bringing testimony about Trayvon Martin's past during the trial.

The state said in motions filed on Friday they want to prevent Zimmerman's attorneys from bringing up Martin's personal life, including his school records, previous suspension from school, fights, text messages sent prior to his death unless related to case and his social media use.

The motion also says the state wants to prevent the defense from using Martin's toxicology report, which showed the level of marijuana in Martin's blood the night he was shot and killed.

Just to be clear here you do know there is a trial and we have an adversarial system right? I mean, yes this a motion that happened...but...it is hardly a significant thing...

Florida legislative session ended. No tweaking happened. Shocking...I know...

It could be very significant if the toxicology report is/is not allowed to be entered into evidence. But you knew that.

If by significant you mean the motion is routine and expected...and bad attorney work if not made...then yes...this is indeed a story you have on your hands here.

Unless you are stating that it has a 100% chance of being ruled a certain way then I would suggest that it is significant and could be a key piece of evidence that is allowed in, or a key piece of evidence that is ruled inadmissable.
