Living in Glorious People's Democratic Republic of Maryland, I gotta admit that the northern part of VA looks like a bunch of backwoods hicks.

sounds nice, can you recommend any hotels?

Nothing in MD (my home state too unfortunately) or Virginia, but a great trip is close by, to Charles Town WV... It's hilarious in fact, since it's the closest casino to DC so you get the Obama loving crowd, mixed in with folks who belong on Duck Dynasty!!

Great for people watching!!

So, is Winchester considered northern Virginia?

Depends on who you ask. On its narrowest definition, based on voting patterns, I'd say no. But the broadest consideration would be the greater DC statistical region, which would make it part of Northern Virginia.

Mostly, I'd say no.

My comment had nothing to do with the discussion. I eloped with my first wife to that quaint little place and was married at a DJ there. My recollection is a little hazy, we took off from WNY late one evening and thought we could do it in Maryland. Even waited for the courthouse to open up and they promptly informed us that they had a waiting period. They did give us directions to Winchester though, and after 36 hours of awake time, we got hitched. Smartest decision, lacking critical thinking I ever made.

The bumbling prosecution added the manslaughter as the case closed. What that means is that the prosecution did NOT set the case up as manslaughter, but instead spent the entire case trying to get at Zimmerman's frame of mind, which was required for Murder 2. The jury (probably) didn't buy that Zimmerman was a nutjob. I gotta tell you--if the prosecution doesn't prove what it spent 2 weeks trying to prove, adding a lesser charge at the 12th hour usually won't stick because the jury thinks the prosecution failed.

Zimmerman was not stupid for calling the cops. He was stupid for leaving his car. He didn't have a duty to stay in his car. He did not have to listen to the dispatcher. He was just being dumb, but dumb doesn't equal murderer.

Yep prosecution was poor, all starting with over charging and going down hill from there

My comment had nothing to do with the discussion.

My apologies. Clearly it's entirely my fault for misunderstanding you were adding something to the discussion that had nothing to do with the discussion. Being a non-sequitur, I had no idea your non-sequitur was, in fact, a non-sequitur, and I am at fault for immediately jumping to the conclusion once again that you are, in fact, a nitwit. So please accept my apology in the spirit in which it is intended.

I admitted that I wasn't adding anything that helped the discusson. You were proclaiming in your narrative that you were a big !@#$. Again.
