Hagan, D.Jones, Roosevelt, Aiken, B.Smith all have one thing in common

They are NOT THE Legit Number 2's!

I left Easley off the list because in my heart of hearts I believe he has the raw physical t...alent you'd want in that position but the injuries are a concern...

Draft a WR!....or trade down and draft a Wr and another player

At what point are fans going to finally understand that the use of #1 and #2 to categorize receivers is outdated. We run a spread offense and the guy drawing single coverage is typically the first look in the progression. The fact that no one can even agree in a modern context on what a #1 or #2 actually signifies is evidence of not understanding what is really going on when the ball is snapped. Since coaches don't even use that nomenclature anymore based on the modern schemes why do fans still fuss over it. If we go 5 wide a few of these guys are singled up and one has to beat his man. That is what they have to be good enough to do. It might be a great debate to have when you are cheating your boss on productivity but come on all ready.

dont sleep on kamar

Kamar Aiken last preseason looked the most like a WR of all (other than SJ). Don't believe he's very speedy though. Roosevelt looked decent at times, but clealry he's not the guy the Bill's brass is looking for. Donald Jones has most of the physical qualities, but is very raw and to this fan, not very impressive either. That experiment would be best put to rest....

Trent Edwards looked good in preseason too. He cut a couple games later.

This list should prove beyond doubt that this is a big need.

Just Blame Fitzpatrick those guys are all star receivers, everyone of them. Fitz just has a weak arm.

Exactly. Fitz singled handedly is holding the team back. The reason those guys were high draft picks was because they are extremely talented and can make any QB look good. :pirate:

2 years ago many said that stevie johnson was not a realistic option as a number 2, nevermind a number 1. Look how that turned out... give these guys a shot before anointing them incapable of being an effective second option in this league

There is no more number 1 or 2 or more. Look at the Giants. It is hard pressed to debate their Wr's. Each brings something to the table and each plays a different role, flanker, split, wide, etc. When you are running a spread offense you need a lot of versatility but what you need overall is hood options, across the board 3 guys all who can catch. Forget the 2. We need 3 total if nt more.
