The dirty dozen. includes the defense plus Wanny. D. W's Kids. Defense as a team Hells Kitchen. front four and or defense as a whole unit lots a good ideas up on here and fun to read. I wonder if the team/players/guys has something in mind already. If they come out hot this year like we hope, the best nickname might come from the locker room any ways. good fun thread though! The Steel Curtain was a play on the Iron Curtain, and since Buffalo has nothing to do with either metal nor the Eastern Bloc, then nicknaming the D-Line anything "curtain" is just downright trite! In addition, why would anyone want to reference a Pittsburgh Steelers defense in a Bills nickname? Ok guys, try this one on for size. My name for the new defensive line is...."The Buffalo Border Patrol". My name for the new offensive line is..."The Block Party". Overall I think of this team as "The Island of Misfitz"...with Fitz being the bearded Charlie in the box, Fred, Stevie, etc. being late picks and such still looking for respect and recognition. I made a nice cartoon poster of this for a game last year but alas they would not let me hang it on the stadium wall. Go easy fellas, I am a long time fan who travels great distances to see a game per year, and my first post. Great stuff. Keep posting and welcome to the board. Remember all the tizzy overy nicknaming Spiller, followed by 2 quiet seasons before he started to show something? Some were so anxious to give Spiller a nickname, they completely forgot he already had a well known one from college. On the other hand, if they make an immediate impact, the "right" nickname will emerge.
