School was very difficult for him and my ex and I took far too long to explore the alternatives. Happy to say, the GED program has been wonderful for him, he has one section left which he will be completing after the holidays. So while 19 year olds are rare, there are valid reasons in some cases. I think the bigger issue is the 19 year old still in high school. Good Lord man...
