It proves the draft is a crapshoot whether you draft offense or defense. Also, you do understand that there is a risk of a defensive player busting too right? Just because you draft a defensive player because it's a need, doesn't mean that player will be successful. Yes, we realize that we'll risk getting some egg on our faces if they don't turn out to be good. Yes, we realize that the front office and coaching staff will be under greater scrutiny and possibly shorten their careers. But us Bills fans have finally realized that our beloved team will never return to prominence without one. Granted, it has taken us more than a decade since our last elite-level quarterback, but we finally get it. Please don't be afraid to keep trying. We're tired of endlessly rebuilding back to 7-9. He's just not accurate the deeper he throws the ball and didn't stand out in the Big 12 conference. Also the jury is out on whether he can transition from the spread offense to a pro style offense. Those are some facts. That's not to say he won't be a good pro because it's all a crap shoot. But I'm not drinking his kool-aid in the top 10. There is not 1 QB in this draft worth a first round QB. Yes, it is a QB driven league, but why draft someone who is gonna be the equivalent of the next Tim Couch just make fans happy? A lot of fans are nervous!!! After last year lots of us are still trying to figure out why we drafted Spiller with their first pick with a team with lot of needs elsewhere. The obvious choice is a defensive player @3. There are some good QBS Ponder,Kaspersak,Mallert,etc that will be there at the 2nd rd. But who knows what the Bills have in mind??????
