I get that cheating is cheating, but there are allegations of 1 woman for Favre right now, which are right now just allegations (it could get bigger, but that's all I've seen so far.) NaPolian8693 Posted October 10, 2010 Share Posted October 10, 2010 I'm not saying there is no such thing as racism in this day and age, but I will say this: If a celebrity of ANY race/age/gender/whatever got busted for cheating with more than a dozen partners, many of whom were pornstars, and a bunch of shocking text messages came out - you can bet your ass that it there will be one hell of a media circus surrounding it with people lining up to pass judgement. Right now the Favre thing is still in the early stages and nothing is concrete, but if more stuff starts coming out he will definitely feel the burn just like Tiger. Anyone that thinks his race is gonna make a difference in the media feeding frenzy is delusional. It's just that circumstances seem a bit suspect with the timing of the release of this, and it wouldn't be that difficult to fake the "evidence". I don't really care about either Woods or Favre's sex life, but I never liked Woods, because he comes across as an elitist prick. Tiger was the #1 athlete on the planet, both in terms of dollars and dominance. He had a mysterious car wreck in which he was injured, entered three months of radio silence, came out and said he was taking a hiatus from his sport to save his marriage, then came back anyway with a very diminished game, AND still went through a nine-figure divorce. Oh yeah, and there were about two dozen girls, one hotter than the next. Favre is an old man who is little more than a sideshow in the NFL at this point, and none of the other stuff has happened. SCOREBOARD: TIGER 12 - FARVE 3 And this is actually the funny part. While Tiger's women all enthusiastically bragged about sleeping with him, Favre apparently didn't close the deal with any of those 3 girls and they all seem to regard him as some creepy, old, redneck. Big scores -> from the reports so far, Favre was a total bust as a stray dog. "Ewww, Icky!" reactions (either that or the ones he succeeded with ain't talkin') Personally, I think the whole timing of this was orchestrated by the Jets. Anything to win, boys. She has no talent, nothing of any significance to add to improve the world, but manufacturers a synthetic image to get more attention for herself. Ala Paris Hilton or any of the Kardashian's. Why does anyone care? These people are fake, hollow husks that are emotionally bottomless pits where seeking more and more attention for themselves is their sole focus in life. Charlie Casserly is on that horrid NFL pre-game show on CBS, stating that she won't speak to the NFL about the allegations. Why not? Were you involved or weren't you? Who made the allegations? But by keeping it alive and denying the NFL its rightful investigation into the conduct of one of its players, she sure is keeping the fire and controversy alive for her career. Which is exactly what she wants. She is fizzling out on the VS. sport show, and must find a way to break out to get more press for herself. She is a complete 'Look at me' personality. Whatever happened to hard work? Why is manufacturing drama and controversy, no matter the moral ugliness of it all, the way to achieve stardom? Are people really so deplorable that any despicable action is overlooked if the offender has double D's? This is wretchedly like that mexican "sports" broadcaster and her allegations from a week or so ago as well (which, coincidentally, is also from the Jets). Have we as a society really sunk this low? Yet another situation in the sporting world where there is not one positive side. First, murder does not equal cheating. That's a pretty lousy argument. You can feel however you want about it, but equating the two is dumb. Second, the Tiger Woods story was so big not because he cheated but because of the scandal over the car accident in which he was injured and the number of girls that came forward. People are used to hearing about celebrities cheating. That's not news. When a different girl is coming forward everyday for two weeks people take notice. This is just an old guy that acts like a kid a long way from his wife.
