Maybin's moves

Recommended Posts

OK, so far I've seen Maybin go VERY wide around the LT and get ridden far away from the QB, and I've seen him today go constantly DIRECTLY into the LT (once with a spin move) but never coming close to beating his man let alone sniffing the QB. Does Maybin have anything else? What has this guy been working on all summer?

What has this guy been working on all summer?

-his hair

-twitter responses

-theoretical sack celebrations

-spending the money he "ain't f***ing earned yet!"

-madden 2011 online (for XBox 360)

-updating his Netflix queue

-posing for mobile phone self portraits

-ignoring pass coverage responsibilities to dart past a pulling guard and flail at the feet of the QB after he release the ball to a back on a screen for a big gain

While he has a long way to go, it did seem he was being held a couple of times in the second half.

Please. All PR's get held, you have to fight through it. This guy can't. Matt Light isn't what he once was, but he was toying with Maybin. The only "move" Maybin should be making is to another career. His time in the NFL will be very short. It's not too early to say bust with Maybin. He's completely invisible except when he lines up offsides, which he seems to do at least once a game.

Maybin should roam the line in a standup position and play as a LB .,not as a 225 lb DE.

Maybe if he hides behind Whitner in the secondary...

The guy was a high first-round pick who has made no impact whatsoever. He was drafted as a defensive lineman, where one has to beat the guy they are lined up against at least half the time to be considered average. All this stuff about getting his hand off the ground and playing different positions is nothing but blowing smoke to hide that the guy is a huge liability on the field.

The only question now is how long and how much the Bills are planning to extend him.
