Some stuff I'm sick of reading re: Trent Edwards

Speaking of big-mouthed Internet tough guys... :wallbash:

Simon, Simon, Simon...can't tell if you're joking or serious - or just drunk out of your mind - on this one, since it's so freakin' obvious to all with eyes that, as a NFL QB at least, Trent Edwards is a boy amongst men. That the pu$$y has been able to play a complete season w/out injury only once since high school speaks volumes toward the guy's physical toughness, or lack thereof. Fact is, Fanning-Fan Edwards IS a pu$$y. Period. Incontrovertible statement of fact. Hic finis est.

Don't think so? Then grab that bottle again and pour yourself another double shot of belligerence, while you tell me where the giant, life-threatening 'killshot' was coming from on this throw...

link

I didn't see anyone getting ready to smash poor little Trentie's face in - all I saw was just a Dick Jauron brown-nosin' freakin' pantywaist who - with all the time in the world, knowing exactly what spot to throw to, and with absolutely no possibility of being hit or intercepted - can't toss a little round pill 60 feet with any zip or accuracy, with no one bearing down on him at all. I'm actually embarrassed to see that Nancy-boy wearing a Bills uniform.

Fanning-Fan Edwards = One Crappy Freakin' QB.

Quod erat demonstrandum.

Trent Edwards getting injured does not mean he isn't tough. It means he's not durable. He may be injury prone, whatever. But he has been willing to stand there and get hit. You need to go back and learn what the meaning of toughness is before you say someone isn't tough.

Hmm. ???? Are you no longer a moderator?

I don't think Trent is a "pu$$y" at all. He was proven to be willing to take hits and come back. He takes a beating playing behind a sub-standard line as you correctly state. Jauron and all of his OC's ran a plain vanilla Mickey Mouse offense. Chan Gailey is here and he was hired for his ability to run offenses and develop QBs. Trent will get another chance and I hope he can raise him game from last year were he lost his job to a less talented player in Fitzpatrick.

Where I question Trent is in the leadership department. He appears to be a bit distant with his team mates. Some of the things he says make me think he does not have the same passion as the top tier QBs in the league. The Bills rallied around Fitz last year and they made more plays with him in the game. The coach, and the interim coach both felt that Fitz gave them a better chance of winning. These things make me wonder about Trent's confidence and leadership much more than whether he is tough enough.

I sure hope Trent takes the next step and becomes a top QB in this league.

Thank you for a sane posting. :wallbash:

Yo simon....... Stay thristy my friend lol

about your post, listen I played ball in both H.S and college and anybody that makes the NFL or played ball period has no pu$$y in them. OK?

BUT...we as fans have a right to call em as we see them and some think that Trent wears a skirt now because he is playing scarred.

Well to back you up I think he was coached to play like he did. That hopefully will change this year under The Chan.

I am willing to give the guy a last chance to prove himself. And it looks like he will get that chance unless the Bills get McNabb which is highly doubtful. So unless something else happens, right now I see Trent under center opening day.

Having said all that I want to still send him a big ass box of Wheaties, it is the breakfast of Champions, could not hurt :wallbash:

I'm over-tired of a bunch of big-mouthed no-ass faggots running around yapping about how Trent Edwards is a pu$$y. Do you simpering little ***** even watch football? The guy has started less than 2 seasons worth of games in this league and the first half of that stretch the biggest problem he had was his insistence on regularly standing in the pocket, facing down constant jailbreaks, refusing to protect himself and taking shot after shot in the face cuz he was trying to make plays down the field. And after showing the guts to repeatedly stand in there behind that joke of an OLine, willingly getting his grill mashed game after game after game he takes a concussion from one of the baddest men in the league and then finally realizes that he needs to protect himself if he's going to survive in this league. So after a couple years of playing under the worst coaching staff in the NFL behind the worst Offensive Line in the league, a bunch of needle-dicked little bug-fu(kers are going to run around with their little internet muscles calling this guy a pu$$y after he spent week after week repeatedly stepping into throws knowing he was going to get his face smashed in.

I have no idea whether this kid is going to be a good player in this league, and neither do you. But what I do know is that anybody that calls him a pu$$y after the multiple killshots he's willingly taken is nothing but an all-talk, gutless little ******** who would piss down his own leg the first and last time he was asked to stand up in an NFL pocket.

Wow...and somebody called me a homophobe and wanted to ban me because I called somebody, who was insulting me, a fag. Aren't you supposed to set an example on here...being a "moderator" and all?

Don't get me wrong, I totally agree, 100%, with you on this topic. I am a supporter of Trent Edwards. I ran J.P. outta town with the rest of ya...and I think Trent CAN cut it for us, if we build around and IN FRONT of him.

But, man...Simon? Isn't this a little overboard brother? I hope, for your sake, nobody takes offense to this. I am not trying to piss you off or start any **** here...but that was a little uncalled for...eh?

I hope you have a better day today... :wallbash:

I agree that people aren't giving Edwards enough of a chance. He did look good in his first year then had a few injuries and hasn't looked the same since. But since those injuries he has been a little scared looking and has been terrible. But I do think he can be at least an average starting QB in this league if he has a good line and good coaching.

BUT, Seriously? Whats with the language. Too much to drink? Your an adult and a Forum Moderator who is suppose to be keeping these forums CLEAN. Grow up and set an example for the kids that view these forums. Of all the forums I have an account on, I have never ran into an Adult/Forum Moderator as disrespectful and immature as you are. You have a habit of insulting people and using language that is inappropriate in public. But yet you are going to complain because people have their own opinions of Edwards and they think he's terrible. Are you the only one thats allowed to say a player sucks or form your own opinion? Its their opinions leave it be instead of throwing insults, you have your own opinions. Calm down internet tough guy

I like how when I throw one insult when someone insulted me; you PM me saying your gonna ban me. BUT YOU ARE OFTEN THROWING INSULTS and you are a Forum Moderator. Set an example big guy.

What has occurred in the past under the prior regime is done and gone. TE isn't going to be automatically installed as the starting qb, neither is Fitz nor Brohm. All three of them are going to compete against one another. Will any of the three be the long term franchise qb? Who knows? How they play is going to be the determining factor. Odds are that the Bills will have to find somone else to lead this team.

Until this staff establishes a credible OL this offense is going to fail no matter who is behind the center. How does an organization continue to have a deficient OL for more than a decade? It is easy when you have an amateurish operation which is brutally incompetent in making drafting and free agent decisions.

For the majority of fans who have written off TE why are you so adamant that he not even be allowed to compete for his position? That doesn't make much sense. The Bills are a long way from being a serious team. Running off a player, any player, before it is conclusively determined that the player can't handle his position is a luxury that this dismal franchise can't afford.

BTW - agree with the sentiment of the original post, if not the alcohol-induced passion. My fear is that TE is scarred for life because of it (the hits, not the post).

That's pretty much My take on it too...It seems to me that the Wilson hit broke something in Trent that simply may be broke for good...We'll see soon enough I guess...But I'm not holding out much hope any longer... :wallbash:

nice. but i think you broke several rules in regards to style and formality. please, i beg you, leave the drunken rants to the pros, 'cause we know how to do 'em. see, i'd suggest using phrases such as "crooked pipes," as in:

the time's now to bring out the crooked pipes and hail unmerciful jesus crank shots at any glenn beck stool who just might be foolish enough to disagree. and i'd stray away from the pu$$y stuff.

it's a little too cute and mundane.

"internet muscles," i like, but i would'a have them flexing their limp noodled internet muscles. and the whole cumstain thing's a little overboard.

snotnosed, porn-surfing, yellow-bellied, nut-jobs with far too much time on their swollen sticky-fingered raw-rubbed meat-hooks, might have been better.

but, really, what's your point?

No one commented on the "no-ass faggots" portion.

Faggots without asses? How cruel.

Exchanging a fan in the picket for a player that spends his life training to stand in a pocket does not make the player any better because he can lost longer than a fat arse, beer swilling, load mouth in the pocket. The argument that you can't do X on the field so you can't criticize makes n0 sense.

That being said I generally agree that it may be too early to give up on Trent or any of the other QBs in the fold and that some of the criticism is unfair and born of frustration over a decade long losing streak.
