was on a flight to Kansas last month on a plane that was 2x2 (2 seats on either side of the aisle). our flight was delayed as an obese couple had to be carted onto the plane. They each took up 2 seats across the aisle from each other, but still spilled so far into the aisle that they couldn't do a drink service on the flight... I at least give them credit for purchasing 2 seats each.

just like they have the height requirement signs by rollercoasters, the airlines should have "If you are this wide, you need to purchase 2 seats" signs.

From a practical standpoint I find it hard to disagree with you. On the other hand, it is hard to know how you implement this without really offending people.

The planes should be outfitted with 2 oversize seats somewhere on the plane that are mainly used for obese passengers only. If there are no obese passengers on the plane then the seat can be used by others only after it is determined that there is no obese passengers on the plane. Kinda like how the larger stall is being used today for handicap people in bathrooms.

LOL...Yep.

Really obese people can't ride rollercoasters. Saw that this summer multiple times at Hershey Park. Immense fat f*ck gets in seat, bar won't close, high school kid has to tell immense fat f*ck that they cannot go on ride, immense fat f*uck gets all pouty and holds up the ride for everyone else before finally exiting.

Why should flying be any different?

Following that logic there should be at least one seat reserved next to the booze cart just in case I show up. :censored:

To overcome this serious problem, Obama appointed a Fat F*** Czar who just mandated the creation of Fat F** Air.

Obama added that there will be no more fat people in 18 months, he just doesnt know how yet.

We know about the carbon tax. Maybe we can have a fat tax. Or a cap and trade system for fat.

For taxes in France we are always the first !! and so we have a fat tax yet!! junk food, sodas, chips and snacks are overtaxed to collect money for dietetic education an prevention programs !
